Stable features:
- Wrapped forum, SMF urls are rewrited to point to Joomla!.
- Multiple views! enjoy the MVC system to add menu items linking to your SMF main pages (ie login, register, members, search, admin, moderator and so on)
- SSI module wrapper! enjoy almost 28+ SSI functions wrapped for you inside a module, you can have as many as you want! from board news to top posters and so on. Thanks to the wonderful work from SMF guys they are easy to customize to better fit your site look.
- RSS view! wondering where to point your feeds url? SJSB support SMF RSS providing an access point to feeds with rewritten urls.
- Joomla! tables and SMF tables may be on different hosts/db, no need to keep them on the same one.
New 1.0.11a:
- Minor bug fixes (ie RSS links and topics are working fine)
- Much more clean and selective settings and options
New 1.0.10a:
- Custom SSI functions: Board News and Top Login, to make them looking better when wrapped.
- Module container: it shows its content when proper SMF user privileges are met (guest, logged, moderator, admin) , handy to have separate menu/views for different users.
Extreme features, alpha state:
- SMF to Joomla! users sync. (not mandatory, you can just use the bridge as a wrapper)
- Synced sessions! Joomla! and SMF logged users are granted to be always linked; if Joomla session expire or SMF session expire then the user is logged out from both of them to keep the site rendering coherent.

I'd been using Fireboard during a couple of time, but now I've got a lot of users and posts and it becamee very unstable. For this reason, I decided trying SMF: It's a great forum component, but I wanted to integrate it into my Joomla website. With this component, my wishes became real.
Thanks for this great work, and hope you follow improving this ;)

Did a lot of testing including this fine piece....
Nice to see somebody picked this up and did something with it...
Looks good so far....
But do enhance it even more and you will make more people happy.
keep it up.

I think that many people are waiting for a working Bridge like this one.
Simple to install and working well in my test site. When the Bidirecional sync are finish, this will be a success. The mod for Joomla do a great work with the SSI functions of SMF
Thank you for this great piece of software

Thanks to Nicola, this bridge is the ONLY working bridge for Joomla! 1.5 and SMF 2.0. We are all looking forward to use the final version. I had tested those alpha versions many times, the latest one can work well except SEF issue.
If any body love SMF, you should try this bridge. I am sure this is will be a new star in Joomla! extensions.
