Sorry, Component doesn`t work. No support, no help forum, no nothing...

Great EK 2008 pool...! by Bub, May 23, 2008
This is a very good component. Thank you John :-)

Excellent by Hoek, May 23, 2008
Just what the doctor ordered ;-)
But seriously, exactly right for its purpose, and options to tune it to my needs. Includes matches for Euro2008, so install and ready to run. Love it!

what i have been looking for by bing66, June 11, 2006
We have been running something like this in paper format for over ten years for european cup, world cup and uk league in aid of our junior football team (few quid to enter &the pot split between prize money and junior footie team) This is what i have been looking for , would be great if it could be configured to predict top 5 teams of uk league and bottom 3 teams at the end of the season and also be able to set up a few questions to answer ie top scorer of premiership, fa cup winners etc, hope it is being constantly updated
thanks

I have this component on my site. Over 25000 users are playing this competition. When i try to calculate points for match the whole site crashes because serwer overload! So it's usseles for me now :-(

I'm using this component in version 3.0.8

Its Working!! by fungkur, June 9, 2006
the 1st and 2nd match for world cup 2006 already played. and this component working great!! my hosting server located at malaysia and i have to change the match time to malaysia local time. otherwise, the system will assume the match is already played and the game will be locked. changing the time offset option in joomla configuration make no difference.

Great program but documentation needed please ! by youngwilly, June 4, 2006
This is a great component and reasonably easy to setup as per the previous posting, but it is all guesswork - how and when do the scores/new game details get loaded for instance?
I hope I've got it right or there are going to be some disappointed players once the World Cup starts if I have to pull the plug.

This is good stuff and it worked for my straight away by robbo, June 4, 2006
I installed the component and the modules normally
I think the confusing part is the menu:
what you do is create a menu item call it anything "Fred" or something.
link it to the Component then save it
Once saved go back in and Edit it
Now there is a drop down list on the right with a number of parameter options
Select one then
Rinse and repeat for the remaining options until you have a number of menu options
Don’t forget to change the menu from "Fred" though

The other potential confusion is:
Once you have your menu options what to do with them…
Make one menu item just linked to the component with no parameter this gives you a list of the matches in date order.
Click a match (the little flag) and make your prediction everyone gets their own list this is your personal list linked to your user.

Hope this helps

Just what I was looking for. by affect, May 28, 2006

Football pool is a simple and efficient way to set up a tipping competition for the 2006 world cup. It took me less than 15 minutes to install and begin to configure in a new Joomla! 1.0.8 site.

Wow! by dj_hardbeat, May 12, 2006
This is very good! I really like the software, but I'm missing some documentation. I believe you have to build the menu yourself, which is quit a lot work. The system looks stabile and I find out an 2.5 version is already annouced!

Keep up the goodwork!

Thanks,

1.0.8 Issues by paullehat, March 30, 2006
Love the idea and was looking forward to having it up and running, but it didn't quite work. I installed it in Joomla version 1.0.8 the language defaulted to dutch on one module, while another brought up error code.
