I really like this software. QuickFAQ is very easy to use. If you are looking for a great FAQ component this is it. The only thing I think is missing is the funktion to attach files from the frontend. Great work!

Sorry about giving a low score to an extension that works well, but it has no flexibility and the author won't explain.
You cannot turn off any of the stuff like Hits, Favorites, Added, Author, etc. etc. There are options in the control panel but they don't work. Supposedly the site global configurations rule, but they have no effect either. The support forum says that you can edit html files but gives no details. The author doesn't bother to tell which files nor even what directory to look in. I've searched the html and php files and couldn't find it.
It works very very well but unless you want all those cute icons and about 3" of space for all the fields it displays before it displays your answer, you are SOL.
It will only display with ALL this information for each FAQ (the question and answer get lost and its unprofessional for the nature of my site):

This is a professionally written, clean, easy to install, easy to use component for anyone who wants to add FAQs to their website.

I have used this to replace my mediawiki quite successfully.
I literally just copied and pasted the pages in. (just login as a user who cannot edit, this removes those edit things on the right).
Very easy to use, excellent for the price. Thanks to the developer who puts the time in.
Also has plugins in xmap and sh404SEF which is an added extra.

If you know the feeling of creating FAQ's you must know that one question just creates another question and some questions covers different questions and even categories. QuickFAQ makes it simple to organise. I like especially the cloud module. Everything it says it does, it does very easily.
Extremely easy to install and use. I had faq running on my site within 10 minutes. Thanks!
Only one question though, how do you re-define the order of faq items within a category?
Thanks for a great product.

I been looking for a good knowledgebase extension and I thought this one would do the trick. However I have loaded over 700 items into it and it takes forever to load (60 seconds or more) when I view all the items at once. Overall, it is a good product, but you plan on putting a lot of data into it, it still needs work.

Within five minutes, I was flying.... Generating faq's.
Hat's off to the developer.

I like very much this kind of extension: simple, clean, does not conflict with other extensions, does not slow down the site.
For a FAQ components I tried Phils Knowledgebase but it was conflicting with so many extensions in J1.0.x because of xajax issue. It had totally screwed up my site.
This component does exactly the same task without any hassle.
I don't know what the sgrayban talking about but when click a category I see every FAQ just fine. And in my site there was no sh404sef problem.
Great component, thanks.

If you have more then 1 FAQ under a category only the first one you added shows up if you click on that category. The only way to see all the FAQ's is if you use the tagging system and that still doesn't work correctly.

Unfortunately is not compatible with sh404sef extension so I will not using it but other than this it's an excellent extension. In my opinion, compatibility with sh404sef is a must because this sef extension is widely used and because this kind of extension without sef compatibility, is not complete. For this I only give it 4 stars

It would be nice to have a plugin for newly Editor's Pick sh404SEF for Joomla 1.5.

I installed the component and it works great. I just encountered an error when I installed the "Attachment for content articles" component afterwards.
"Attachment for content articles" url:
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,3115/Itemid,35/
Other than that, I'm happy :)

This is REALLY what I was looking for! Works out of the box and looks nice. :)
Few Things:
1) I told the menu item to list a Page Title but it seems to be dropped down one line so it looks 'off'.
2) Generating PDF's brings up a 'File Not Found' box.
3) Graphics are messed up under Admin:FAQItems. The Publish/Unpublish/etc.
I'm sure these are very minor and the only things I've run into thus far. Other than that - GREAT Program!

I found this extension on the forum a few weeks ago. As Christoph said at the time it was still very much an alpha product. Since then I've been checking quickfaq out of svn several times a day and the progress from that "promising" early alpha to this polished release has been truly amazing.
There is little this extension cannot do!!
And because of the clear and concise code and MVC architecture it is very easy for me to customise.
I wish all extension developers took as much care as Christoph when writing their code!!!

QuickFAQ is super easy to use, excellent features, and very well coded. If you are looking for a great FAQ component this is it.
Installs in seconds. Works without a hitch. So intuitively designed, there's need for any documentation. A sophisticated FAQ system was lacking for both Joomla! 1.0 and 1.5 version and this component fills the vacuum.
I've tried even some commercial versions and had to uninstall all sooner than I could install them.
I'm not a compulsive reviewer, but I just had to write this. I've no doubt this component will soon become the top-rated.
