IFGallery
A Macromedia Flash based module for Joomla allows for stunning visual display of imagery and associated meta data. View your images in our elegant Macromedia Flash based viewer. The menu system is always visible allowing fast navigation across all your images. Images may be stored in categories and sub-categories. The images are loaded in groups allowing users to traverse cross a range of images without that cumbersome click and wait delay of traditional galleries. All images are presented with auto-generated thumbnails for easy navigation. Each image may have its own Title and Description that will display below the image. Get future updates for free.

I like this... by Mindwarp, November 14, 2006
I wanted a simple flash gallery for a portfolio of photos on my site. I also wanted a gallery that prevented pictures from being easily saved on the users hard drive.

IF Gallery does all the above and seems stable, although it is a tad pricey for what you get feature wise. You can configure many of the colors etc. I would have liked to be able to use/add the Tahoma font.

The other things that would be really useful is some development of the backend management. For example, being able to delete images in batches or multiples, and uploading a zip file as opposed to single images.

All in all, I think this is a good component, and I look forward to any new features.

Works for me by writeonwoman, July 18, 2006
I purchased this component as I could not find anything that compared to it - and believe me I looked. Although I had read some of the reviews, I took a chance on it and am very glad I did. I had just one concern about the component and wrote to the company. They were very cordial and responded to my concerns by helping me and sending me a fix for my concern.

It is my opinion that this is beautiful application that looks professional and enhances the website that I used it on. The people who visit the site that I used this on come to view these specific photos and it is worth the few seconds it takes to load just to have such a wonderful display.

I will definitely do business with these people again.

Not ready for prime time. by jchrise, July 4, 2006
This product has potential, but lacks in many areas. The thumbnails load way too slooooo. The galleries don't always load correctly into it's menu item. Deleting the sample albums is painstaking...takes about 15 minutes each time I've installed the product to rid it of the sample galleries. Support is lackluster and slow coming. Very few posts in the forum section (7 posts from April to July 2006), some of which are unanswered. I really don't mind paying for add-ons, but I expect them to work flawlessly with good customer support.

Value for money by wd40, June 5, 2006
Hi There,
I recently purchased and installed ifGallery at an art tutoring website I am currently building.
I needed a simple but extremely pretty way to display the student's paintings on the homepage.
My client wanted to be able tp update the paintings herself which I taught her to do in 5 minutes.
I had a technical issue with my web server during installation and JoomlaIF could not be more attentive.
Both she and I are extremely happy with the value of the product and the professional look and feel it brings to the site.

pricey for what you get by mrjansen, May 19, 2006
i plunged 30 euro into a very simple gallery for the reason that it was simple -- but it is a little too simple. All media must be added manually and the only thing that you can configure is the color scheme and some aspects of the layout.

hopefully the developers will release new versions with more options soon.

Size problems by redevo, April 20, 2006
I purchased and downloaded this but it's a bit limiting as anything less 750 pixels width and things get a bit squished.
