* Please update to 1.1.14 to fix a security vulnerability. I wrote this component to give users a little more control over their content from the frontend. Authors can now see all their content in one list, which means they can edit unpublished items from the front end. If they have access to publish items, they publish content with one click from the mycontent list. It also allows users to create a content item for any section, instead of having to have multiple links from the usermenu. *Publishers can now view/publish/unpublish ALL content items. *20 Language Translations

BRAVO! by insomnio, April 19, 2007
Excelent!!
almost what i was looking for...

the only thing that is missing is the possibility for the editors to aprove to show in the frontpage... i dont want them to get in the backend... they are not webmasters.. it will be very confusing for them... but.. if they thont like it, thy can start coding! right!

cheers!

Temporary Items in the Static Content Mngr by cubefree, April 18, 2007
I like what he is offering, but what I did NOT like is that it puts a temporary content item in the Static Content Manager every time the page is viewed!!

Obviously this could get huge over time. I saw NO way to designate another table to deposit these records, so I gave up on the module.

If not for that I'd use this in many many places.

Owner's reply:
Hi cubefree-

I have never encountered this problem and cannot reproduce it on any test sites. All new content is generated through the standard Joomla content component, and no content items are generated when viewing the list. Please contact me with more details.

Mark

Great component - needs delete feature by pintobuck, April 12, 2007

Very useful component. Easy to see list of all content you are authorized to view, and then to edit individual items from the list.

Requested feature - include a delete button for easy removal of unwanted content items. This would be very useful if you are an editor which is reviewing and approving content submitted by other people. Now you must return to the Joomla content manager to delete items.

Plug and play! by rcgw53, March 7, 2007
Have you heard of plug and play? This was downloaded installed and working with the right language (swedish) with a few click. Fantastic or as it normally should be. A very useful and practical module.

Thank you.

really helpful by knk, March 3, 2007
now users can see the status of their articles - this is, what I looked for!

Nice, but... by micke_nkpg, February 25, 2007

Be a little cautious by cwford, January 26, 2007
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:
I like this component but there are coding errors in both the core and html display modules that require changes in php to make the component work correctly. Among these errors are:

(1) The component will report TRASHED content items in it's list of items even though the items are not displayed, which gives an incorrect item count.

(2) The component does not handle browser refreshes after toggling the publish/unpublish status of an item.

(3) A needed global variable is not included in a list of global variables.

If you're comfortable with making changes to php source code you can correct these errors. Otherwise, until the developer corrects these problems, be cautious in using the component.

I've posted corrections to #1 and #2 on the Joomlicious.com website where there is a myContent forum. A correction to #3 is also to be found there posted by others.

Client Friendly Necessity by jll, January 7, 2007
I install MyContent with every new joomla site I develop because it greatly reduces the obstacles when publishing new content. Also, for clients that want to create content but aren't too savvy, keeping them out of the back-end with this component is priceless.

another Must Have for a content driven page by KurtSteiner, December 23, 2006

definitly better content handling for all members !!!

Sunny regards

Great idea, but consider a couple of tweaks by scoot, December 18, 2006
As has been said, this is a blindingly obvious tool needed for any site with more than a handful of contributors.
I found that it didn't include the Archive. I think it would be better if it included such material, perhaps for reference only, since it wouldn't make sense to have these items editable.
Another difficulty I have is that it arbitrarily allows users access to create new items in all sections, even though they might have access otherwise to just one.

This extension simply works. I consider it core to all my joomla! installs. Looking forward to more from Fabrizim.

Once in a while you find a component that should be part of Joomla! core. This is one of them.
