JoomlaWorks ArtBannersXTD ComponentModule

We're happy to announce the release of ArtBannersXTD v1.0, a banner/ad manager for Joomla! 1.0 based on the famous (but unfortunately not developed anymore) ArtBanners by Aprisobal/Perigoso Studio, released under the GNU/GPL License.

JoomlaWorks took this legendary banner management system and fixed bugs, revamped the interface (looks cooler and easier to use now!) and extended its functionality.

Highlights of this release:
- New UI, similar to the "Frontpage Slideshow" component backend (=easy to use)
- Banner editing is now properly structured
- You can upload image (jpg, gif, png) or flash (swf) banners
- You can embed text ads like Google Adsense instead of uploading graphics
- Flash banners can now be tracked (all you have to do is simply input the flash banner's link to the related input field)
- Module outputs XHTML code and its content can be cached (=improved performance)
- Module integrates its own CSS styling which you can disable if you want.

Make sure you unzip the file you download to get the component and module zip files for installing on your Joomla! website.

Enjoy one more fine release from JoomlaWorks!

Would be perfect if you could assign different ads to different parts of your site. Doesn't seem to be a way to do this.
As important as banners are to websites it confounds me that there are not more component offerings in this category. ArtBanners FlexAdvert and Banners Manager are the other non-core offerings and none of those have had a new release in a year and a half.

I commend JoomlaWorks for cleaning up the abandoned ArtBanners code and making it work. Simple, clean and publishes flash with out drama.

Excellent work fellas. Well done. I tried several extensions in here but this was the only one that was well written, easy to use and most of all supports counting clicks on flash banners flawlessly. Recommended.

Just like ArtBannersPro. What i'm missing is the possibility to place several small banners horizontally. This option is, however, available in ArtBannersPro.
