JRealty

- This extension is encoded and require ionCube loader
I would like to first suggest that if the developer(s) choose to be the salesperson for the product, then PLEASE get an education in sales. Most programmers make for bad salespeople, and this is one of those projects that proves my point.
This component installed for me without error. However, the developer's limitation #1, is a complete contradiction to all the hype in the opening paragraph, "The extension garners its success by bringing together two of the worlds most prominent real estate website applications, Joomla and OpenRealty into concert by bridging them seamlessly and naively with version 1.5+ of Joomla." To say they bridge seamlessly, and then to follow with "no user sync" is a complete contradiction. I too saw nothing more than a wrapper to Open Realty. To make matters worse, when you pop the hood on one of the demo sites claiming to be an Ezpro demo, there is a path to a rivalry component:
/component/option,com_cmsrealty/Itemid,1/action,addtofavorites/listingID,654423/cmsrealty,user/">Ad To Favorites
Come on. Seriously? This is what you're calling seamless?
I found many issues and bugs with the version that you can download today. The sh404 is one of many. Unfortunately, there is not enough of it that works to even justify its use.
Please put more time and testing into your products before they are released, and STICK to your release dates.
This is pure nonsense about our code producing this url-> /component/option,com_cmsrealty/Itemid,1/action,addtofavorites/listingID,654423/cmsrealty,user/">Ad To Favorites
This is physically impossible since we don't use a component called com_cmsrealty in any demos and cmsrealty doesn't even exist for Joomla 1.5. ( AND ) you obviously didn't click on our demo link here or on our website to produce that link!
Next - We only use a wraper to the admin of the Open-Realty admin only..everything else is and has always been a pure integration - no wrappers! for those of you that have a problem with the OR admin being administered from within Joomla can always link directly to it via its path if you so choose but why you guys want to bash us for a admin panel inside of a wrapper is a little bit petty in my book. I would also recommend that you stop by and download the All New Versions including our All New sh404 plugin that now make our urls look like this http://www.joomla.ezprorealty.com/listing-624-waterway-dr.-5.html
Install completed successfully, but when I go the component admin page, I get a 404 (even though all sef stuff was uninstalled). The path looks malformed-- The requested URL /joomla/administrator/administrator/index.php?option=com_ezprorealty& was not found on this server. Maybe this is just a bug they missed in this release.
On the developer's demo site, the component works, but appears to do little more than put a wrapper around the OpenRealty admin. They claim on the site that the component works with sh404, but in the forum they say that it doesn't, and that it won't until sh404 leaves beta for 1.5 native.
The homepage of the site is about 50% functional, with no docs, few files, few posts, broken links, and nonexistent content as I write this, and no version of their EZPro Realty version of OpenRealty is available for download-- and yet in the time I started messing with the component earlier today til now, it's gone from zero stars to nearly five?
It seems they're working fast to try to get this released-- I hope it ends up a great product, but right now, I see nothing to back up the reviews it's getting.
This component is awesome. I was using a product called EZRealty which the name is very similar but I could not get my URL's to be at all clean. With this component I have the best looking Joomla based real estate site I think is possible. It doesn't work directly with the SEF component but it does provide exceptionally clean URL's and brings in everything I could expect for a Joomla Real Estate Site.
CONS:
The product was beta and documentation was non existent which was difficult to figure out. I had to get live help in order to get it working which took me an extra day. I will say that they are doing well given the demand on their forum but its still slow starting with support.
