Ossolution Team is proud of informing you the release of Google translation for Joomfish . The extension , as stated in it’s name, is a combination between Joomfish and google translation services to provide automatically translation capability for your joomla site. There are some other automatical translation solutions for your joomla site, however, let us explain why you should use our extension together with joomfish : - The popularity of joomfish : Joomfish is one of the top rated extension in joomla extension directory . For now, it has 152 votes, 405,246 views and 206 Favoured . If your site enable multi-languages feature, Joomfish will be one of the first choice . The extension works with both joomla 1.0.x and joomla 1.5.x series, very easy to use and more important, it is supported by the large communities. Most of popular extensions provide content elements for joomfish which allow you to translate content of the extension easily . If not, you can define your content without any trouble . - Save your time : Joomfish is a manual translated content management extension. That mean if you use joomfish, you will have to translate your content into every active languages on your site . Ofcourse, the translation process will take you much time, especially when your site has a large amount of articles, products,… Use our extension, the translation can be perform automatically . You just need to choose the content you want to translate, select original language, destination language and click on translate button . The extension will use google translate to translate the content and save it to joomfish database . You can have a coup of coffe while waiting for your content to be translated :D - Your site will work faster : While other automatical translation solutions use online translation service to translate your site content directly when users access to the site . This process ofcource will take time and make your site slower . Our extension work in the diffirent way . The translation process is done through back-end of the site, the front-end only need to read the content from database to display (that’s how joomfish works), so It makes your site work faster . - The accuracy of the translated content : While other automatical translation solutions use translation services to translate the content and display the translated content immediately (real-time translation), the translated content cannot be accurate 100% but you cannot modify it . Our extension save the translated content into database, so you can modify in-correct content easily. …. and many other benefit when use Joomfish together with our extension . The extension will cost you $15 . Each time we sell a copy of the extension, we will use $5 to contribute to Joomfish project . The extension has two versions : One for joomla 1.0.x and one for joomla 1.5 . Thanks you for supporting our development so far and we do hope that we will love this nice, usefull extension . Best regards, Ossolution Team

I think this is an excellent and much needed extension. I'm sure most everyone realizes that computer translation is certainly far from perfect but this extension does exactly what I wanted it to do which is translate Virtue Mart Product descriptions in to 2 other languages which would simply be quite impractical to do one by one using Joomfish.
Sure, the translations aren't perfect because of the machine translation but they don't need to be. Anyone can understand the description of the product which is what I'm most concerned with.
I still use Joomfish and manual translation for important content.
I love this extension. It completely helped me out of a bind for my online store. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Great job!

I noticed this product. Great idea. Get Google translate to translate and store the translations in the Joomfish database.
Joomfish translating takes time - lots of time if you have several languages to do.
The advantage is you can alter it until it is exactly right. You can also change images to suit the language.
Google will get a translation almost right - but we all know it is not perfect. Plus you cannot change the images and you cannot alter a bad translation. Lastly it is slower.
Combine the two - great idea. Total control but with Google doing the donkey work.
As yet I have not got the component to work. Something is working but nothing appears in Joomfish or in the frontend of the site.
The download is version 1.0.0 despite the advertised bug fix version 1.1. There are people out there who are getting it to work - well to an extent.
This extension could sell like "hot cakes" at $15 - the other extension advertised as translating with Google and saving to Joomfish is more money. If this extension works as it promotes itself as doing, it is a bargain. It it does not then it is expensive.
As I say I have not got the latest version advertised, I hope to do so and I hope it will work for me. From the forum their are a few customers for whom this has not been successful. After sales needs to be better
