Pretty Easy! by Firegirl, November 13, 2006

I will have to say that this is pretty easy to get going! The only thing I hope they get working in the future is maximize/minimize of the comments. It will not work if your template was designed in 'quirk mode'. That really needs to be fixed because that is an awesome feature, but I can't use it! Worth buying otherwise. Keep up the good work!

When working on my website I was trying to do everything opensource, but when I couldn't find a commenting system for joomla that worked the way I wanted, I decided to try jomComment and see how it worked out. I have to say, I've been extremely pleasantly surprised.. not just at how easy to use JomComment is, but the support is *fantastic*. If something breaks, Azrul's right there to help fix it.

Sorry that I don't have much to add besides agreeing with the other reviews that say that JomComment is an professionally-done and excellent component.

Azrul continues to support and improve his product and it is well worth the modest price.

Worth every cent. I integrated this easily and seamlessly into an existing website with a dodgy commenting method. Everything was imported flawlessly, and it's been rock-solid ever since.

The front-end looks terrific, with a choice of several different templates. A couple don't seem to parse properly with Firefox 2.0, but the component's developers assure me they're working on this for the next release. Doesn't really matter - there are more than enough fully-functional ones to choose from. Flat and nested commenting is handled nicely, and (for me) the killer feature was being able to display comments by Username rather than Name.

Back-end administration is also slick. You can see all comments in one pane, and moderate any of them. I love the autopublish for registered users.

All in all, a terrific and slick component. You won't be disappointed.

I've been using JomComment for a month now and it's working great. Support is very active, there were some minor improvements that I requested and Azrul fixed the problems immediately. You can't go wrong with JomComment!

This component could do with comments-per-category/ comments- per-article, instead of only comments-per-section. Furthermore xhtml-compliancy is missing.

Fabulous extension and support from Azrul in helping the newbie (me!) to set it up and use it! As a non-tech, non-programmer, it was very comforting to be able to receive quick response and support for even the simpliest question.
In addition, my community of users (pilates students) know even less (nor do they want complication) so the application's use is phenomenal.

A terrific add on and very smart and flexible component. I had a close look at a few other options but this was the smartest by far, gave me everything I was looking for without compromising a very flexible appearance. So impressed and worth every penny. I never had to use the support, installed and worked smoothly. We will be using it on a few other sites very soon, fully recommended. Well done guys, top stuff.

Jomcomment has made my day! Why? Because I don't think I have ever had ONE 'out of the box' experience when installing a few of the other components (without hand holding from the developers). But this, this component worked straight out of the box with NO tweaking what-so-ever. Ofcourse I played with it, squeezed it a tad in the back end... Just because I could! The backend is clear and well laid out, even for the most novice user and the CSS templates which are added into the package make it a dream. If Jom Comment were a guy, he would be freakily smooth.

It's so well made and clean looking it was as though it were made specifically for my site. The developer certainly took care over this little Gem and I intend to ask that smooth operator of a component out on a date! THAT's how impressed I was! No lie!!! It was worth the purchase and I am telling you, purchase it because you really won't regret the morning after!

I don't come here often to review extensions but I do feel that this one deserved a good review. I decided to switch from ako_comment since it lacked many of the features (like good spam control) that I needed.

I installed jom_comment and had my site switched over to the new component in a total of 5 minutes! All my comments were quickly ported over and I now have MUCH MUCH better control over the comments than I had in ako_comment. The interface is very good and its easy to use. The AJAX touch isn't necessary but it sure looks good!

Excellent component! The high quality of Jom Comment is definitely worth the asking price.

I use jom comment on my site and it works great. The spam guard and differnet templates available are really good.

But what stands out the most is the customer service they provide. If something doesn't work just right, they will respond to you in a timely fashion and solve the issues. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

I give this product and the CUSTOMER SERVICE they provide a big THUMBS UP!
