Simple and Esay to use - even for non techies by anand, September 20, 2006

I am a new user to Joomla and one the components that i have recently purchased is JOM Comment. I should comment that it was very easy to integrate and work with this component. Based on some of the reviews here i purchased and the last opinion from STDEV mentioned that it slows down the bandwith. I recommend that you check with your service provider for problems related to bandwidth. As far as i can see JOM COMMENT is a small component and i am not sure how you are having bandwidth issues with this component.

Installation was very easy, and without any errors. It's easier to configure than other 3rd party Comments Extensions that I know: some other extensions need a seperate securityimages component, Jom Comment doesn't because it has built-in security images functionality.

While browsing the extension page at joomla I did not expect to come across such a well designed commenting system. It gives me all the options I need like moderating guest and registered user comments. When somebody posts a comment it instantly arrives in my mailbox for review, then authorizing a post is as simple as clicking on the Email link provided. Users can keep track of particular postings with the optional RSS link. The appearance is fully customizable and the administrator page is full of options. The only cons I have experienced is in Safari browser, after posting the page does not stop loading, but developers promised to fix this problem soon.

I've been looking for a comment system for some while, that had the right look and feel to it. This is great, simple to set up and easy to work with.

I'd used AKOComment for some time, but have now gone the Jom Comment route. It's a very solid, configurable product that just installs and works. The module is a very nice addon and I hope maybe the future holds continuing development for modules and maybe even incorporating a rating or vote function. But, make no mistake, this is a professional grade product that looks great, works effortlessly and is a major upgrade for any site that uses content that provokes thought and response from users. Jom Comment is the best comment system between all other systems that i have tested and used..
It is so easy to install it .Besides it has a lot of great features!
The greatest one in my opinion is that it is based on Ajax technology.
Lots of features of Jom Comment could be controlled easily from Joomla!

installing was a breeze as each step was well documented. I was expecting a few issues as we'd previously run ComboMax and then AkoComment so comments were scattered and had been spasmodic but every single one was imported perfectly.. I couldn't have been more thrilled. The ability to moderate comments from the front end is just brilliant, such a time saver. double thumbs up :)
