JomComment 1.51 is great for webmasters which have problems with spam: anti-captcha system is great and protect users !
I think it's more powerfull than Combomax with this feature and it can import comment from Combomax !

Even if i have found some strange way to traduce part of this component in french, i have found it very useful and his development team quite "alive" :-).
First component with the Captcha working on my website, a team enquiring about my request, an update 15 days after i have discover it for a better service... just fun !

I've been struggling with the surprsingly hard task at finding a commenting system that works for my clan site (hq.clanofbobs.org). I'm opting for a maximum of user interaction and content comments seems to be one of the keys. AkoComments was almost it. But I couldn't find out if it's actively developed or how to get any sort of help from anyone.

Then I found jom_comments. It doesn't add too much (for me) over AkoComments in functionality. Yes, it's easier to get a "pro" look with jom_comment and the AJAX part of it makes the feel much more "pro" too. But what's really cool is that it is obvious how Azrul wants to create the best comments system out there. I'm willing to tag along and try to get most of my requests in there.

Don't get me wrong. Jom_comment is already the best comments system for the money ($12 is almost like $0 in my book). But it will get even better.

I'd say that the coolest thing with this extension is that Azrul has identified the problem with the clutter created by linked titles/commment links and "read more". With jom_comments you can switch off "Read more" and replace it with jom_comments more intelligent one. Great.

Highest on my wishlist is comments notifications for the content author.

I love this commenting system. It's fast, light, easy to install, easy to customize, and I love being able to see your comment added without having to reload the page. And the support is awesome. He is always looking to improve it! My one small wish for improvement is the addition of Gravatars built in since most all of my site visitors use Gravatar.

you should really get jom comment now as it is still very new and very cheap!

I tried akocomment, but didn't have much luck with it. Found this one using the joomla toolbar rss feed, and I am glad I did. It's well written and looks very professional. Easy to install!!! I like the fact you can select which areas to implement the component, or not. Keep up the great work :)

I'm one of the new and growing Joomla users who have ditched their blogging platform (in my case Wordpress) for the class and functionality of Joomla. I'm also in search of extensions that are easy to use and set up, and this is one of those extensions. It is well worth the $12. Now maybe if I could convince him to include Gravitar support.... Simple, easy, and I think, this is the best comment component. I changed the akocomment immediately when I gave the files. And Azrul answers any question ASAP, so, jomcomment has a good support, too.

For those who really care the aesthetic of their projects, this component is second to none. But not only is a good looking add on, works like a charm and helps to increase the traffic in the website.

Works like a charm, if there are any small bugs they're solved very quickly by the developper, easy to change the template, It's great to have Ajax on your site, there's active development of the component.
