This is what I have been looking for for a long time! This must be the best existing commentsystem made for Joomla - and its worth its cost. The language support and the easy to make your own template is some of the many great things about this component! I translated the language file to norwegian rigth now.

What's to say that hasn't been said before? Great component, easy to use and install and terrific customer support. Had a small layout glitch (didn't affect the component's operation) that was sorted in about 48 hours. Worth every cent.

The component is ready-to-go without much tweaking. It works like a charm and it can add professionalism to any type of website. My site is a blog site and Jom Comment was the prefect solution for me. I purchased the Pro version and I have not had any issues with it.

If you run a professional site there is no other option. for $30.00 you get so much. Very well done, nice front end, clean and professional. Excellent back end.

Downside... (yes there are...) if you are REALLY non-technical it could be a little annoying to install. But if you shell out another 10.00 and get someone to install it for you, you are golden. It depends on your host though, not an issue with Jom Comment.

Bottom line, highly recommended!

I don't understand some of the hype surrounding this extension. There is a real page delay when this thing is installed. I also checked two other websites that use jomcomment and observed the same behavior. It takes several seconds for the site to load. Then I installed akocomments and j!reactions and the page delay is gone! Also, some of the features are buggy if you use the "wrong" browser, which is really frustrating for a developer.

Don't bother with this one if you are using Cyrillic characters - Russian, Ukrainian, etc. Akocomment comments won't import right. Not sure about other compatibility issues with cyrillics.

Owner's reply:
Jom Comment uses different character encoding than Akocomment and most other comment system. It is almost impossible to import the non-english data correctly. Only english character can be imported reliably.

We had problems post installation. The developer logged into our back end and fixed it. The Akismet spam detection was on without a code. Was worth the money for that kind of support alone. Works well and popular.

I'm usually hesitant when it comes to commercial software because it's a financial investment, but JomComment was more than worth its reasonable price tag.

After testing numerous comment systems for Joomla!, none of which reached my expectations, I took a gamble on JomComment and boy did it pay off! Its various themes are all attractive and functional, and the slick AJAX adds a touch of class and professionalism. The back-end is equally attractive and functional, with more options than you can shake a stick at: everything from spam-protection to bbcode to - very importantly - perfect Community Builder integration

The component is so easy to install and use that you won't need to ask for help often, but the few times I've had to e-mail their support staff, the responses have been quick (no longer than 1 business day), friendly and genuinely helpful.

I really can't sing its praises higher than that. Now that the new version 1.8 has been released and the few minor complaints some users had have been addressed, I can't think of a reason - short of complete poverty - not to buy this component. Practically essential.

Such a wonderful piece of art! It's very use to install and it's very tempting for the visitors to comment thanks to Ajax technology that publishes comments in a glimpse.

The control panel is very neat and offers numerous options.
And the support via e-mail was very nice.
I use it for my website in Arabic, and it works great.

In nutshell, this is a must have component!
