DewPlayer is great, but lacks of thoses features: autoplay, bgcolor and any folder other than /images/stories/ So this is a modifications.
{play}path/to/my_file.mp3|[AUTOPLAY]|#[BGCOLOR]|[AUTOREPLAY]{/play}
or
{play}http://www.external-site.tld/path/to/the_file.mp3|[AUTOPLAY]|#[BGCOLOR]|[AUTOREPLAY]{/play}
Where:
- A '/' (slash) will be added in front of the path to the MP3 file. This means the path is an absolute path from the root of the website.
- [AUTOPLAY] will be 1 or 0
- [BGCOLOR] will be an HTML color code (example: FFFFFF for white)
- [AUTOREPLAY] will be 1 or 0
Demo site: http://www.martinkoums.com/ Click on the CD of the flash animation or the link at the bottom to skip the intro. Autoreplay disabled in the demo site.

At least to my knowledge it doesn't... anyone getting it to work in IE7? It works in IE6 and latest version of Firefox. Thanks.

Actually must have been fixed as the author mentioned ...this bot worked great from me. DewPlayer allows you to directly embed mp3's in the page and it is a clean, handy bot - thanks

I downloaded, installed it and attempted to link my mp3 files according to the updated instructions in the description. The player shows up fine on the page and I can even change the background color but it doesn't play anything. It doesn't autoplay, it doesn't manually play. It doesn't download or stream the mp3 file. Nada. It doesn't work. Period.

Well the original mambot contained an old dewplayer.swf file that does not support autoreplay. I've downloade the new version from Dew's website and replaced it in my package.
You should redownload it, uninstall the old one and reinstall.
If any bug, please report.
Thnx to Harry for this report.
