Fiji Tagbot is a mambot/plugin that gives visitors to your site the ability to bookmark any article (content item) in one of the many Bookmark or Tagging sites such as Furl.net, Spurl.net, Del.icio.us etc. If the article is bookmarked as a public bookmark on the bookmark site, then there is a 'better' chance that your article will be sent to sites that aggregate bookmarks such as Technorati, Blog listing sites, search engines, etc. If it is bookmarked private, it still serves as a point of access for the user to your website. Tagging is a type of rating, categorizing, feature for websites that is invisible to the user, thus its success and popularity. (ps: The name of this project has been changed to Fiji Tagbot to deferentiate from another similiar project)6/8-2006 :We just added support for around 20 new bookmarking/tag sites including Technorati. Flickr is next on the list, i missed that one. Check it out here: http://fijiwebdesign.com/content/view/77/55/

Great! Love it! by mugwumpr, May 2, 2007

I just love this social bookmarking extension. It uses unobtrusive little icons that can be placed right up at the top of a content item, where they're visible, instead of buried at the bottom, where they can be easily missed. It is very easy to use and to customize, and there are LOADS of options for displaying it.
The only thing I'd like to see added to this is a way to add a link to Facebook, but that's just my own private obsession.

Really Excellent Extension by RBJ, February 23, 2007

I really Loved this extension. Works great.
Just one suggestion.
Can we have an option to choose which sites/icons to include?? What if I want to include only few sites tags? e.g. only digg.com and delicious.com ??
Thanks.

Magnificent component by notexa, February 16, 2007

Great component, works straight out of the box and is completely configurable.
About the link to their website: you can disable this by turning of "Show help links" in the bot.

link to fijidesign by garfy, February 1, 2007

Hi your tool is cool but why do you have to link it to your website?
I know you get nice incoming links from different sites but still there should be an option to disable that
for users, the last icon questionmark links to his site and I almost did not see that
I think you are doing the same as those rockettheme site

Doesn't work with Mamblog by linuxpenguin, January 4, 2007
|
This add-on is supposed to work with Mamblog, however it's not working with it, either when I set it to do this automatically or when I do it manually by inserting the tags into my article.
It works with any other article, but I don't want that. It'd be wonderful if only this feature worked properly.

Had tried a number of items like this but all failed to hide on the main page. The author kindly fixed an issue with the bot and an SMF bridge (download 1.0.6 Beta 8.0 from his site) and now it is superb!

When I installed this Mambot it caused php errors with my !JoomlaComment installation. Even if it was not published. When I uninstalled the Fiji Tagbot !JoomlaComment worked again.
