Ok, admittedly I am a noob with Joomla stuff as I only heard of it a week ago. I am building a large community website based on it and needed a calendar. This one had all the functionality I was looking for so I bought it. I was having all kinds of problems getting it up and running because unlike other "plug in and go" type components, this one does require a good deal of configuration. I just want to say that the support offered by Ian in second to none. He answers posts on the forum quickly and concisely. Thanks to his support (with my newbie config questions) I now have an awesome community events calendar on my site!
So to recap - in one week I have an awesome Joomla site up and running (almost live) and a kickass calendar too. That says ALOT about both products! /cheers Joomla and Thyme!

I am new to Joomla and php and frankly this program is requiring just too much effort. Joomla is beautiful because it is so easy to install applications but not this one. First you need to download something to see which file you have to download after that. Then you have to download a file and then transport it somewhere in your Joomla installation BUT you mustn't use the Joomla installation. After that you have to download something else to integrate with Joomla. At that point I gave up. Maybe when I've been around Joomla for another 12 months, I'll come back and give it a shot.

Thyme is one powerful calendaring system ... it's *exactly* what I was looking. Installation and setup was straight-forward and smooth. I did need some help using the Joomla! Studio and got a ton of help from their support team via AIM. My situation may be unique, but if you're looking for a calendar that will handle multiple calendars within a site, Thyme is absolutely perfect. Well worth the cost, that's for sure.

It has been a great experience working with this extension. I utilized the 30 day trial and was so impressed I didn't hesitate to buy my first license. Very flexible, loads of features and very intuitive. I highly recommend this calendar.

Both pre and post sale support is excellent via the support forums and the responses to our email queries were very rapid indeed.

It's so feature-packed that this is definitely a "sit down and go through it step by step" component as there is just so much to it, it's such a powerful application in its own right, however integrates into Joomla! seamlessly and effortlessly.

The 30 day full-feature trial is very handy – gives you plenty of time to decide if it's the package for you!

This is the grand mother of calendar and event components! It really is not fair to compair it to the rest of the available joomla extensions, its a complete forum / community site in and of itself... it just happens to integrate perfectly and extensibly with joomla. And everything that everyone is saying about support, its so true. Its a bit more complicated to setup than most components, but Ian took care of all my problems via e-mail and even offered to log into my web host for me to setup the necessary cronjob for automatic e-mail notices. That's Support!

I wish all software was as well developed as Thyme. Thanks to this, and to a wonderful customer support, everything is possible. Object oriented, it can be integrated into anything you can imagine, specially Joomla!!! I really recommend it.

This is by far the best calendar for your Joomla site. The possibilities are endless, and you can add your custom code to a great deal of the unencoded files.

We used it to create a powerful booking system. Extending its authentication files to automatically create groups and permission levels based on Joomla's groups. We were even able to integrate "booking credits" that were are in Community Builder with the calendar.

If you are looking for ultimate flexibility and something powerful, this calendar is for you.

As the others said, support is unsurpassed. The developer is exceedingly helpful and supportive.

This is a great calendar. My client described all the features they wanted and one by one I eliminated all of the other calendars out there because they didn't "cut it" until I found Thyme. It does everything I need. It has a lot of great features built into it and what is also great is that the developer is constantly adding new modules and functionality to the product. Another huge plus is incredible support which is beyond fantastic. After setting up Thyme for my client I it showed off to them and it was great to be praised by a whole room full of people (even though all the credit really goes to the developer - but hey, Thyme makes ME look good!)

It is absolutely sicking how great of a value this calendar is in Joomla! My biggest issue was getting the full functionality and still have it look smooth and integrated in our joomla site and this can be achieved beautifly by wrapping the calendar and running the joomla user integration that extrosoft has. Plus you have never seen such freakish customer service! I swear I have gotten a solution to every problem I've ever had within A FEW HOURS, many times within 5 to 10 minutes.

This is an absolute steal for $50!

I got a license for Thyme after finding it the ONLY suitable option for a decent calendar. I ran into some difficulties setting up (due to my own inability to solve simple issues I had created), but I quickly got the help I needed through an outstanding support staff. Best I've seen in years. Bravo, and keep up the good work!

The other reviews are right. After the trial, I knew it was right for me. I love the flexibility and the power. It integrates great with my site and has a ton of features.
But the best part is the support. The developer responds very quickly and is very friendly. It's worth every dollar!

It is an elegant solution to many problems. After striking out with other calendars, my client loved the solution. And the developer seems to be active in the support forums, so you can often get a quick answer to specific questions.

I will be purchasing a license for my client. It is well worth the money!

I installed the trial version of Thyme, and knew right away that I would be purchasing it for our company intranet. Everything is completely customizable, and the subscriptions and notifications are easily configured. I don't know PHP, but every question I had was answered immediately. Thyme offers fantastic support, going above and beyond consistently. I was able to quickly implement the calendar within Joomla, and it’s getting rave reviews from all of the users. This is one calendar that is well worth the purchase price.
