This must have taken a long time to make! by maxmmize, September 10, 2008
This product is feature rich and provides the quickest set of tools I have seen to create great templates. I do not design templates and have used many of the same ones you have used like RT, JA, etc.

I found this program and decided to give it a shot. The template make is, by far, the best utility I have ever bought for Joomla.

The product includes a very clean and easy to understand video seminar/teaching guide.

Support
The support is very responsive and understanding of someone diving into template making. He is fast, concerning, friendly and knowledgeable.

Product
Installs very ease. Buttons and template making are literally 5 buttons away. From there you are on your way to designing the module layout. It even comes with a fully functioning, complete, template.

Price
Well within reason for what you are getting. Should not be an issue. Once you see it and your PC you will thank the developer!

My hat is off to m65.net

If you need help this will! by earthrat, September 6, 2008
We all want to create our own look for Joomla. I have found this extension to be second to none when helping me to do just that. If you are looking for an easy way out though. Get someone else to build your site. You will have to work at building your site. You provide the determination and desire and this program will provide you the tools! Awesome extension! It was worth every penny!

Rapid Template Development by evdboogaard, August 11, 2008
In the IT profession there's a field called Rapid Application Development. Tools used for such are a/o Visual Basic/C etc.
Now we have something really cool that will help developing a Joomla template at almost the speed of thought - you still have to click a few buttons, right ;)
Hence, Rapid Template Development.
The kit does what it's supposed to do. Judging the kit on the sound quality of the tutorials and giving it a bad rating doesn't do any justice to the kit itself. The kit is superb!

Aspirin Up! by darkhelmet, June 27, 2008
Probably geared toward the patient, very patient. As mentioned in another review, the audio is often times choppy, rendering some remarks unintelligible. Who is at fault I do not know - maybe Mozilla, maybe Adobe, maybe Camtasia, maybe the author's equipment. Regardless of the audio shortcoming, and while the author obviously has good intentions, someone else (a professional) should conduct the tutorials.

The author often jumped from point to point so quickly I was still looking at the Dreamweaver screen and had to rewind the video to catch up - a script is desperately needed.

Just a Warning by HarleyRacer, May 27, 2008

I spent a lot of time researching this extension, and finally bit the bullet and purchased it. It was a huge mistake! If you are already experienced at making Joomla templates, and you are looking for a tool to help you do it, then this may be a good fit for you.

But if you are like me, someone who has developed several websites with Joomla and feel comfortable with it, but are looking for a user friendly template creator, then stay away from this extension. Run away!

The "tutorial" video is so amateurish that I rebooted my system several times, thinking it was a problem on my end. The audio is absolutely horrible. Many times, the audio quits before the film segment does. The developer seemed to be teaching off the cuff, with no prepared script or idea of what he was going to talk about. Finally, every new feature and version that he promises is always "coming soon" but never seems to arrive.

I wish someone had been honest enough to include these things in their glowing reviews. It might have saved me $100. Oh - by the way - no refunds.

Owner's reply:
Hello HarleyRacer,

Well sorry that you did not like the Videos.

The issue with the sound most of the time comes from the browser.

If you play the SWF files with the flash player the sound is a lot better.

Steps have been taken in the newer videos for better sound but this is not

in our control some of the time.

As per off the cuff teaching comment remmeber it’s a tool not a video class you can't just make a system of the cuff.

These reviews are over a few years the extension itself has a 4 year history.

Most of our business is refural business not review to sale.

I most be doing something right.

The only thing I can say to you is that your intitled to one year of free upgrades.

If you don’t like the videos then you can read our new writen manual.

Not all things are for all people.

But I try

Best regards,

Brian Diaz

Best thing since sliced bread!!!! by jlaronge, April 24, 2008
JTK rocks. I'm not a coder and I have struggled with
Joomla templates for way too long. Your videos are awesome. Since
watching them, I now have a good understanding (one that I couldn't
get from various other sites and books) of how Joomla works. I can't
thank you enough for making this product.

I design lots of Joomla sites and have been using the JTK for about a year. It's easy to use and makes my life much easier! Highly recommended.

Life should be this easy by dongoodman212, November 21, 2007
It's made my Joomla template design a lot easier.
Brian the wizards kick but!

Thanks

Pricey but excellent by starlight, November 18, 2007
I recently had to modify a template's module positions and create new ones, and didn't have a clue on how to. This extension both taught me how and made it so easy to do what I needed. I'd looked at other similar extensions and none offered what this one does.

Great way to create websites by li_gordon, October 16, 2007
I have used many different dreamweaver templates in the past. Media65 has given me the opportunity to move those websites into the 'joomla' environment.

No longer must I tell clients that the 'joomla' sites are 'boxy' and boring. We can be as creative as we want.

The tutorial is excellent and really shows how joomla templates work. I am even now able to merge multiple templates together to make very cool websites.

thanks for a great product.

Don't Fear The Weaver by kuwie, June 16, 2007

I thought Brian pronounced Joomla quite well, but I got a bit confused when he was talking about the "Grim Reaper". I slowly realised though, that he was referring to "Dream Weaver"
All in all, it was a very entertaining video - highly recommended...

Try it... then go out and buy it!

e-Fabulous!!! by neriv, May 31, 2007
Great product! Moreover, Brian's work is greatly appreciated. I have found the kit to be invaluable in our Joomla learning process. Very thorough!

This baby developer is very happy. :)

A must have. by EFARMSTRONG, May 2, 2007
Easy to setup and get the ideas behind this nice tool IF! You are a true experience or commercial Dreamweaver user. Once done learning the methodologies, you will find yourself able to design a pixel-perfect custom CMS dynamic site.

In other hand the Dreamweaver's casual or a beginner user may find then self in a dead end. There is lots of technical procedures to be aware before going in to the core of Joomla and that include messing up with the template files and folder substructure, lots of extensions depend on it.

Excellent Product by scottthepotter, April 28, 2007
I originally purchased the 2.0 version of this kit. Brian has just released the 2.1 version. I almost feel guilty about not having to pay an upgrade fee. The improvements are fantastic! The price of this product is worth it just for the video tutorials alone, which have been expanded in the 2.1 version. This is a "must have" product for anyone that is interested in developing their own Joomla templates!

Very good Joomla quick start... by melcon, April 16, 2007

I was very excited to jump into learning Joomla quick and as I received this package after jumping through a few hoops, I was pleased with the fact that the video was simple and good paced. I wasn't bothered by the mispronounciation of Joomla "Jamal" as another reviewer was so quick to complain about.

I was however slightly dissapointed that the installation and configuration of the JSAS (Joomla local server program) was not explained in detail. I suppose that the instructor considered this to be common knowledge. Though, its not very difficult to figure JSAS out, but I would strongly suggest that he include this very important information with the video training.

As it is easier to find error in others than to find positive things, the only other error that hardly confused me was the reference to Firefox which was really meaning "Macromedia/Adobe Fireworks". But who cares! I sure didn't. But he really should fix that so others don't get lost.

The great part of this training is that it is geared toward Dreamweaver users and it has a wonderful Dreamweaver extention that really put a smile on my face! The extention makes building Joomla websites quick and easy.

I Also very much enjoyed the fact that the focus of the training was to help you brand name your own templates. He even included a quick rundown on creating and embedding a favicon. That was a sweet surprise indeed!

All in all, I would highly recommend this training package for all web designers that want to jump right into the Joomla world.
