Given all the glowing reviews above I was expecting better. The appearance is reasonable but not great (could use a graphic designers eye). There are only 4 color choices to choose from so it's not really customizable given that there are a lot of different color schemes out there. Interestingly both of the above could be remedied if they provided it with the flash files but they don't. Not worth the price in my opinion but would be OK for a free component. If it came with the ability to customize the look I would happily pay for it as it would save me reinventing the wheel.
In summary:
If you don't have a specific look going for your site or you can build the look of your site around this component then it might fit and work well for you.
If your trying to fit this into a site with a defined color scheme you'll be frustrated. |

Online flash quiz is a double edged sword - for quizzes it does a wonderful job, just about perfect. HOWEVER, with a paid, commercial product, a certain level of support should come with the purchase - expect very little to no tech support.
The company I work for needed a way for the public to be able to take a quiz. This quiz was to help educate the public in health related issues. Online flash quiz fits that slot just about perfectly. There are a couple of draw backs - the results do not explain "why" the person got the answer wrong being one of the draw backs. This feature is supposed to be added to future releases.
The support for this product is almost non existent. Two questions in their support forum have gone unanswered for almost 2 weeks. For a paid, commercial product some level of support is expected. So far, for whatever reason, elearningforce is not providing any kind of real support for their product.
If you need a quiz section for your site, this one should fit the bill. Just remember, if you need support, you may not get it. For both of these reasons, online flash quiz gets an average rating - terrible support, but a really good product. Owner's reply: We don't understand you. We are really trying to do our very best answerring support requests in max. 2 days - we are even working Saturdays to keep up the support. And generally speaking we recieve many happy testimonials. You can ALWAYS ask us and get an answer.

I highly recommend Online Flashquiz! It is quickly and easily installed (well, should be obvious, but isn't). Building quizzes is quick and easy.
A special note on international characters: Often a problem, even more so when trying to create a pdf certificate with áä€ etc.... Not with this one!
The mail option and the backend report option offer great oportunities beyond a "nice gimmick".
Last but not least - the support of those guys in Denmark is unbelievably fast and usually very helpful. |

I have been searching for a long time for the functionality that is provided by the online Flash Quiz. For a long time I was looking at Moodle but the fact is that the user interface was too complicated for my requirements, With Joomla for content management and Online Flashquiz for assessment the content is both simple to use and easy to create.
The developers response to requests sfor support is brilliant.
I cannot praise this extension highly enough, worth every penny - dont hesitate buy it now |

We were looking at Moodle for our online training, but our purpose online included more than just training and testing.
We implimented Joomla! and Online Flashquiz from Elearningforce to perform our testing and certificates of completion. Great compliment to Joomla!, I don't know how we would have done this without Online Flashquiz.

Developers are very quick to respond, so excellent support; the components as it is now has some exciting features such as saving, printing, mailing and certifying results, which is great for site stickiness. Can't wait for the new version to be ready, as planned features look even better!! |

I've been searching high and low for this exact
functionality. It's simply brilliant and easy to use.
And I'm extremely pleased!!!
What really makes this program so unique is the super
step-by-step tutorials (they gave me implementation
ideas I hadn't even though of) and the friendly,
prompt and courteous support. I received a support
response in less than 20 minutes!
And Bjarne knows how to make Joomla sing. Believe me,
I can't wait to get my hands on some of the other

This is a great component for anyone wanting to do online learning or training.
It's fully integrated into the joomla interface and the backend management is pretty easy as well. It would be great to have more front end access to quiz results - but the extra module package, quiz review and save to email function are pretty handy anyway.
Definitely worth the $85. |
