My apologies for anyone trying the Component between the 13th of November and the 12th of December 2006, I uploaded the wrong file!!
Corrections have been made!

The new version of Productbook, version 1.0.4 runs with RG_Emulation set to OFF, also with Registered Globals set to OFF.
This version should also fix the error in the categorie setup some people encountered.

Good job! It's a very nice component, which can handle most of your catalogue needs. Easy for adding new features, like a WYSIWYG editor in frontend component, which is not included.

This component having a nice front end feature. Directory structuring is easy to understand. Current version support unlimited depth of categories, auto generate thumbnail and alternate image location.

Anyway for the category management, improvement should be carried out on the operational wise - such as deleting, moving or copying parent / child category, import & export category, sorting and many others.

Possible to include Alpha searching should be a value added feature in the future.

Looks promising but not just quite ready yet. Multi level categories are nice.

Please work on the picture handling and please remove those food specific parms from the product manager. Please let price be optional rather than mandatory.

What I was looking for, it has option to add up to 14 custom fields and many more features however it requires some more work.
