This Mambot lets you create an individual string for the display of author, created, modified, usertype, section, category and hits.

You can assign a css-class and display 4 different strings in 4 different positions at the same time.

The available Positions are:
1: First Line of Content
2: Last Line of Content
3: In Title
4: Replace original "Written-by"

Important: all link-features (sectionlink, categorylink and mailto) are only available in position 1 and 2 (due to the links and the JS in the title.

You can select for each position where to show it. Just select the dropdown for each block.

Available placeholders are:
#author# inserts author or alias-name
#authorcname# inserts name from Contacts new in 2.0
#authoremail# inserts email adress new in 2.0
#authorid# inserts authorID or blank, when alias
#authorregdate# registration date of the author (global date format) new in 2.0
#authorlastdate# last visit date of the author (global date format) new in 2.0
#authorposition# field "position" from contacts new in 2.0 #authorinfo# field "misc. info" from contacts new in 2.0
#authorimage# displays the image set in contacts new in 2.0
#created# created date
#modified# modified date
#hits# number of hits
#section# section-name
#sectionlink# link to section-blog
#category# category-name
#categorylink# link to category-blog
#usertype# inserts usertype of author

If you want to hide the string completely from an article, just add {mosauthorxtd noshow} to the article content.

Example: Written by #author# at #created# (#hits# hits)

Nice piece of software! by paradoxdesign, January 11, 2008
Installation went flawless, clear configuration.
The only thing I miss is the option to restrict this mambot to certain sections or categories..that would make it complete in my (humble) opinion!
But nevertheless, a nice mambot!

Wow by Steve3, January 5, 2008

Thanks

This mambot really adds slickness to your news portal site. You can also use HTML in the mambot input parameters to have the mambot output display however you wish.

Great work by martijn189, October 22, 2006
I just installed this mambot... I am running a joomla website for the past year, and i always put the date manually in the articles because i did not like the way joomla inserted the date and author name... This mambot works great, i edited the mambot though so that the extra at the end of the string is removed so that the author and date information is on the same line as my text begins...

Great work... life safer....
