New version works on Joomla 1.5RC4 too by iamplatinum, January 14, 2008
The new version of TMedit for 1.5RC3 works just fine on Joomla 1.5RC4 Also. To get it to work don't forget to select TMedit as your editor in the global configuration and I found that disabling TinyMCE in the plugins is also advantageous.

Very nice editor by petjez, October 17, 2007
I love this editor. I it very fast, looks good and works good. Very good upload function for documents.

Solves a serious Joomla editor/file management conundrum! by EFARMSTRONG, October 9, 2007
After our trial and compare test we decided to use it as the default WYSIWYG Editors for all our basic Joomla site development and we planning to go for the XHTMLsuite to be use in enterprise Joomla site development just to have the front-end image/file management. When you deal with lots of end-user that will dare to maintain the content of their website the less the go around the back-end the best for your nerves.

Keep the good work!

It's good but needs fix by ideasgirl, October 7, 2007
I'm having an issue with this plugin that nobody seems to report. Everything for me works fine except that I can't create links, neither use the font color feature. It just doesn't work. I've tried on IE6, IE7, and FF. I even tried it on different computers and OS, and still with the issue.

Also the issue of the popup window not going on top using FF is really annoying.

The best features are the picture upload and the html code being just there and not on popup window; which if you ask for, has issues too.

Seems good by felham, September 9, 2007
Seems good, but all the popups, like URL and image manager, doesn't popup - so I have to go down in the menu and make the popups active...

Simple and stable by Redfern, August 10, 2007

Avoid if you have joomla in a subdir by joarvat, July 25, 2007
It looks nice, but it has a problem when your joomla is not installed in the root. The image insert dialog pops under the browser instead of above and it goes automatically to the images folder of the root installation. So for a Joomla installation in a subdirectory you just can't get to the pictures.

Good but need a bit more work by roger_jg, June 11, 2007
Nice and pretty but does not allow the use of CSS style attached to a template...

Doesn't muck up your markup by heavenlymedia, May 3, 2007
2 of 2 people find this review helpful:
I've tried out a whole load of editors and for me this is the one. I have direct access to my html with a button click, and by this I mean the editor itself shows me the html rather than popping up a new window with my markup in it. Unlike other editors it doesn't strip out my class attributes, and it even leaves my newline characters intact. All this plus it looks great and is very simple and usable for non programmers.

Oh and the image upload functionality is a dream. Will definitely be checking out the commercial version.

Simple to install, simple to use. Have used most of the free editors, but still keep coming back to this one.

OK, but not for me... by kismert, December 6, 2006
3 of 5 people find this review helpful:
Pros:
* Decent editor.
* Installed cleanly.
* Seems to do a good job of keeping your markup intact.

Cons:
* Doesn't render multi-column float-based layout -- at all.
* Can't specify styles for markup.
* Loses undo/redo history after going into HTML view -- even if you make no changes.
* Bug trying to modify/insert image (as of 5 Dec 2006).

Summary:
* If you have basic needs and simple layout, this plug-in will do.
* There are better free choices.
* You have to wonder why the company provides it, as it is not a good sales tool to entice people to buy their flagship product.

Very clean editor ... by isigillum, November 22, 2006
installed very nice ... I like the cleanliness of the editor and the upload feature on the image browser. Overall, very clean and a nice editor. Seems to load faster than most too.
