Tag Solution that places icons linking to SocialBooking sites (del.ici.ous , furl, blinklist, etc) within your content.

Sociotag v.1.4 is ready! What's new in 1.4:

- No modifications to core Joomla files required! Let's make the life of our users a little more easier! No patches to the core files are required now!
-Caching is added: Sociotag 1.4 works faster than 1.3! xml files of bookmarking websites' configuration are now read only once and then is saved to cache

Works everywhere but where it should by linuxpenguin, January 4, 2007

This add-on is supposed to work with Mamblog, which is what I want - for people to be able to tag all my blog articles.

It can add the tags everywhere - except on my Mamblog posts, which is just what I don't want.

It's great if you want tags on all your articles, but not if you want to restrict it to certain ones (unless you do it manually for each article - and even then it won't work for Mamblog articles). It would be great if it worked with Mamblog like it's supposed to.

For the record, I tried both this and Tagbot, both had this problem.

Just a note.

Your site has a problem with the JavaScripts included for the tags.

Based on the fact that your extension is released under GPL it is allowed for everybody to go into the code and remove the link to your site.

HOWEVER: I suggest to anybody do just add HTML comments if you want to remove the link to the site. It is always good to show the credits to the extensions you use. A second nice thing is to mention extensions in your imprint.

Extensions like this are one of the reasons why I use Joomla. You just can't beat the functionality of this extension. And best of all, it's free!

With the latest version, you must delete line 167 of sociotag.php to get rid of the "!" link. The file is located under the mambots/content folder.

It does a good job and enhances your site quite good.

Yet you should delete line No.220 from the sociotag.php, as it adds a 1x1px gif with a link to socioclick.com - which is apparently just a stupid Pagerank enhancer.

I did have some problems with the mambot which were solved by Anton in a matter of minutes. Excellent service and nice to see some 3PD's address areas in the blogger's arena for those of us who blog with Joomla.

I tried the tagbot, while in beta it still didn't work at all. Now sociobot comes along and blows it out of the water. When I first loaded it up, I refreshed my page and looked at the available sites I could store the links on I was amazed. It had almost every site in there from the get go! Upon installation your site will become an outlet to be indexed or browsed by so many other sites if people click the links and save them. Truely a great product.

Appreciate the kind words, thank you.
Any of the listing can be turned on or off with a click :)
It has been modified to make it simpler to use and reduce the chances of contamination of the fire flies (bugs!).
However any suggestions can be added a kept in a seperate version.
The site was launched only yesterday so is going through constant upgrade.
SocioFeed will be live within a couple of days as it is in BetaPhase, but hopefully will prove to be a useful tool for rss, especially with the visual it should captivate your users.

If your ever enjoyed using tagbot from http://www.fijiwebdesign.com/, this is like an upgrade.

sociobot has an EXTENSIVE list of social bookmarking sites which might even be too much.

It also worked right away with no issues.

Is compatible with discussbots for joomlaboard/smf

Compatible with Joomla 1.0.10
