Great extension, it's just a shame there is no Joomla 1.5 support... The closest equivalent free extension for Joomla 1.5 is JoomiHide.

This is a great solution for membership sites who want to provide a simple preview for non-members, along with paid content for members - I now make this a standard part of each content piece published - a snippet at the top for guests, and the body for members. IT works GREAT!

Easy to use and really useful.

I am relatively new to Joomla, and just recently decided to transfer over 10 hardcoded sites to the Joomla CMS.

With all these balls up in the air, I need as little hassle as possible, and the best, easiest ways to do things.

RokMember is one of those ways.

I use it to make sure that content geared towards members is visible as soon as they log in.

In fact, combining RokGuest, RokMember and Raw Content with a quick little utility (on my Mac, I use TypeIt4Me), I can automatically set up member's only content AND warn guests they are missing out AND give them a paypal button with just a few typed characters.

Now, most of the articles in my subscription sites have a description for everyone, then when they click to read more, members see the whole thing, while guests see a warning and a way to pay now.

Perfect!

Need I say more? Used in conjunction with ROK-Guest, this plugin adds a whole new dimension to your site!

This is such a simle idea, I can't believe it hasn't been done before. Works a treat and is simple to implement.

I use it in conjunction with RokGuest to allow guests to access member only content items, so they know they exist, but when they do they're told it's reserved for members only and supplys a register link.
