Synchronize Users for Community Builder sites

Using this component you can have registered users and upcoming new registered users synchronized from one Joomla site to all other listed Joomla sites - no matter where the sites are located!

This component is compatible with Joomla 1.0.13 already!

THIS VERSION IS COMPATIBLE ONLY WITH COMMUNITY BUILDER 1.1!

Synchronization is supported in the case your sites based on the different Joomla versions. But only of your sites are based only on 1.0.x versions or 1.5.x versions. Synchronization between 1.0.x and 1.5.x versions is not supported.

User groups in Comm.Builder can be chosen.

F.ex. you have installed the component at the Main Site, where the user makes a new account or there are some existing registered users. In the component you list which other sites to have the user being registered on. After you have synchronized the users manually once, you dont need to do this again. New users are handled by auto - also if they change user info.

BUT:

It could also be the other way around: You have a subsite with registered users or new users are registered and you want them to be registered on the Main Site.

So there are really many ways to handle this by choosing which sites to address.

The synchronization is done ON ALL THE SERVERS YOU HAVE ACCESS TO!!

First I'd like to give some fair and accurate information concerning this company:

1.) The support is good,and despite sometimes being lost in their system, they are attentive to discussions.
2.) Vlad and his team will try to help you work out your problems.

But, I'd like to point out issues with this component before you pay for it.

First, it DOES NOT synchronize CB after initial registration. It won't pass user groups, or synchronize passwords upon new password requests. This component costs too much to customize to work with JACL or AEC to pass periodic changes in a user account, profile or access level.

This is NOT a synchronization component in its truest form. It will initiate passing of names/usernames and general information to subsites upon registration (or in reverse if requested) but it doesn't compare email addresses, and it won't deliver any changes to the CB database, the user group or passwords.

It's a great product concept, but it is misrepresented on their website, by name and forget getting it customized without a great deal of problems. We've been working on getting these issues through them, but it has taken almost two months to get a working product, only to find out that you get charged more if they don't understand your request.

I applaud their effort but warn against using this component if you have specific needs, because their website description is a little unclear. Make sure you ask the direct and succinct questions about your needs, or you will be disappointed and out valuable money for a product you can't use the way it is represented.

It doesn't permit:
- To synchronize Community builder personal fields after registration
- To have the same new password for all sites when you use password reminder in a site
- To remain logged in when you pass from a site to another
- To synchronize the Avatar

I use it for my website which have 14 subdomains... And all is OK... The synchro is in real time. When a user modify his profile on a subdomain, it is modified on all my subdomains... With your own fields you have created in CB...
It is a perfect component.
And the developers are very fast to answer for any question...

This tool is very useful for all those who have multiple sites. Installation is simple and configuration to.
It works great and support is also good, you send a mail and a response comes very fast from the author. Also if you need multiple licences the author will find surely a solution for you :)

And now have fun with this great tool :)
