The Mamboassistance.com Team are pleased to announce the launch of our new e-commerce solution for Mambo and Joomla websites based on osCommerce, the world’s most popular Open Source e-commerce solution. We believe this will be the easiest way to sell products and services on a Mambo or Joomla powered website! Using our solution, you will be able to sell your products and services directly, whilst utilizing the full order tracking capabilities of osCommerce. Mambo / Joomla Features: • Based on moscommerce /joscommerce component • Integrates seamlessly with Mambo and Joomla. The solution uses a Component, Module and Mambot. • Single sign in - complete user integration so when you log into your website, you also log into osCommerce as well. • It works with the user extended component • Search integration • The module allows you to display a product tree, specials offers, shopping cart, buy now products etc. • A plug-in enables you to insert osCommerce products directly into your Mambo or Joomla content • e-commerce management panel - you don't have to give admin access for your sales team The purchase price includes installation directly into an existing Mambo or Joomla website.

Pay to Play by manxmans, September 16, 2006

The demo looks impressive but we had to pay 50USD to see what it does. We found that it is ECJoomCommerce - in fact they even left the ECJoomCommerce files in their download that they sell for 50USD. The self install does not work but for a further 250USD they say they can get it to work like the demo.

Ok - allow me to defend this product.

We needed an OSCommerce integration with Joomla done over a Saturday/Sunday. Initially we balked at the price, especially compared to EJoomCommerce. However, we found that although EJoomCommerce is nearly there (as of August 1st, 2006) and will probably be production-ready soon, we needed another option.

Marcin was really helpful. He took us through the benefits and explained that it took a long time to integrate - hence the price. I think the price is $50 for a self-installation and $250 for Marcin to do it. That fact isn't well explained on their website or here.

Our client was paying extra for speed and professionalism and they got it from this product.

Why pay for it? by VXD, August 7, 2006

The cost by tjyoung, August 6, 2006

This 'add on' is $250 US. To me, that's crazy. Its simply OS Commerce...period. I would rather run OS Commerce separately, design the template to match the site and be able to freely upgrade etc. whenever OS Commerce updates.

Way over priced in my own opinion. Should be about $50 bucks. No wonder they don't mention the price anywhere till you sign up and register on their site.
