I love the way it looks on the site I am developing for a client. I loved how easy it was to set up. I loved all the documentation that helped a basic level amateur like me. I love the ease of the front end so the client can add events or change events easily. I have yet to hit a bug.

I don't need a registration component yet, but may in a year or so - that would be a nice added feature.

Not much more to say! Hopefully, it will be a much used addition to my family portal. Easy to install, configure, and use.

The best system to manage event I know. Only not work in my case the integration with jomcomment but the rest is excellent. The best: the integration with google maps but all is very good.

All-in-all this is a very good component and I would gladly recommend it to my clients who need a simple but beautiful events listing system. Over the last several months I have used almost all of the available events components and found that EventList is by far the most attractive and professional looking for showing the actual events and presenting the event information.

However I have run into several limitations that seriously limit it's usefulness for the majority of my clients. The first being the registration for events, while many events that my clients want listed are free there are often events that are not and would find the component far more useful in a wider variety of sites if there was a way of showing registration fees as gathering specific registration information. Without this I cannot use the component for paid-for events.

A dedicated calendar would also be highly useful!

Nice component and module. Easy installation and minimum instruction required. I minor issue prevents this component to be excellent.
When using the module upcoming events it will display all events published. A small change in the code will solve the issue and it will then show only the upcomming events from the current day. For this solution look in the forum pages with the topic "Only display Upcoming Events".
It would be nice if it had also a module like "Latest events added". However with the small change Eventlist works for me!

Tried installing this component on 1.5.3 and the administrative component was not installed correctly. The installation blank screens and stops half way through. This Joomla-er is not satisfied.

5/5 for the schlu.net-ers. It is wonderful to use something that so seamlessly works. I'm putting a website together for debating in asia, audc.info, and this is exactly what i need.

This extension is awesome.It installs easily and I have yet to run into any major bugs. Since I am using J 1.5 I was having a difficult time finding an extension for events that fit my needs. This is perfect. The only thing that it needs is a payment gateway. I am sure that is coming soon. Great job!

This is a great component it allows me to roll my existing events and booking calendars in to one.

Thank you for an excellent addon for Joomla 1.5.1.

My task is to build a website for my club and gallery. This is my first foray into Joomla website building and it has been a case of trial and error with a lot of add-ons; to find something with easy installation, setup and management has been a nice suprise!

Working nicely with EventList is two other addons 'EventList Latest Events' and 'EventListQ Calendar module' for my frontpage. I will definitely be keeping a watch for updated versions!

Slick, clean UI; easy to use. Several different ways to slice-and-dice your event data. And it seems to handle recurring events like a champ.

However, as someone else mentioned, while the component does provide a front-end interface for **creating** events, it doesn't provide one for modifying or deleting them. That is, a site user can create a new event via the front end, but if a change has to be made, someone with back-end access has to do it.

Otherwise I would have given it an "excellent" rating.

I am testing this component for my Company (we sell Training Courses).
EventList is nearly perfect for what we need. You can rename its fields to anything you like.
I still needs the possibility of adding custom fields (which is planned) but I was able to hack it a bit for my purposes.
It works in Joomla1.5 native out of the box.
Don't forget it's still (April 2008) in Alpha Stage...
Registration could be improved (and I think it will). Users can register to events after logging in, but a registration form will be really needed

I love the component! I needed something to be able to place events in a fashionable manner and this is the component! More features that I could ever wish for for an event list component.
