This is really a wonderful extension. There is so much information in the pop-ups within the admin interface and it allows me to customize the layout exactly the way I want it.
Incredible that it's free. Thank you so much for making it available.

This is a nice extension. however i didn't like some points and I switched to JEvents.
What I didn't like:
- The name of person who created the event does not appear along with the event!!
- You can create an avenue or choose avenue added by other person!

I really cannot imagine what I would have done without this excellent software. It was easy to install and later the updates were also easy to conduct.
Many Thanks!

Despite only starting to use Joomla only a few days ago, I had no problems installing and customising this extension. The instructions were very clear and concise, and the functionality completely covered what I needed for a parents' association website.
Great work.
Thanks

Anyone who wants to build a complex component should begin by studying EventList. From its attractive admin interface to its rich functionality, flexibility, and built-in documentation, EventList is a model extension. The developer and support forums are fairly response, although the extension works as described. Nice work, guys!

First of all let me say that I don't typically write reviews, but I read them and often weigh them havily before downloading a product.
I wanted a simple application but with several key items I wasn't willing to part with.
1. i needed to list a request (event) and have my users add them on the front end.
2. I wanted my users to be able to sign up for the events from the front end.
3. I wanted a google map so they knew where they were going.
4. Simple Design.
5. Ease of use for both the admin and front-end.
I got exactly what I wanted in EventList. Thank you for such a wonderful product! Your hard work shows.
P.S. I did hit one snag with google maps in that my address showed up blank in the lightbox. This I thought was an EventList issue, but in fact it was because google was not recognizing my address. I live on a new street not yet on the map. When i changed it to an existing address, it worked perfectly...

It work immediately after installation. Event pages are really neat, simple and well layout. The whole component is very well thought out and really straight forward to use.
But there are some useless items.
- On every event detail page, there is a huge site name right at the top as the page title. A very stupid idea, lucky I found where to disable it.
- The wide list was a little too fancy and too much to tweak to make it layout nicely in any web page. You also need a really wide page to display the list neatly.
Without the above pain, by default it is an excellence component.

My entire business is events. We provide 2-3 events at various locations around the country. We tried several of the calendar components, but they just weren't quite right. Either they had too many features or were too restrictive on how the data was displayed.
EventList is simple straightforward and does exactly what it promies.

I work with many nonprofits and they all need to promote their events. Many think they need a full on calendar but what they really need is this module. It provides a wide range of ways to display event information in a manner that is easy to administer and use form the user perspective.
Thanks for the development and continued support of this module.

An awsome component. The roadmap promises even more good stuff to come.
Check out schlu.net and than imagine he puts the same care in the component as he does in the design of his website. An amazing job.

Does a much better job at basic event tracking than JEvents, although I miss the big calendar display, and the extra registration data options Attend Events provided.
EventList Calendar Module Q makes a good companion to this component.

OK first up I agree it is a good solid component. However for me it has a couple of major drawbacks.
1. It allows a user to post an events from the Frontend but it does not link the event to the Events official website. Weirdly it does link the event Venue to the official Venue page though!
2. Support from Schlu sucks. The simple questions to the Forum go unanswered. Sporadic responses do not help when you are trying to put a site together! Get your support act together Schlu and you will have a storming component.

This extension is being used for several months by our Scuba-diving club, where the members can subscribe for various events which are being organised.
It works easy and almost self-explaining, and various settings are possible.
Various languages files are available including dutch. Some nice features are on the wish list.

This is easily the best extension for Joomla that I have ever seen or used. The customisable settings are just staggering in their depth and the thought that has gone into them. It seems that everything is editable, which is wonderful from a website builder's point of view.
Thank you so much for this excellent extension!
The modules are good too.
Definitely highly recommended.

... if you want to make entries in calendar or list events. This Extension is awesome! Really easy to install and to configure and the support in Forum ist good and given in german (good for me ;-) ) and in english.
The possibility to clone the component and modules for a second eventlist satisfy all my wishes. So I have an evenlist for special group and special view (no registered member or guest can see it) and all special members can edit their own entries.
And I have the other eventlist for only registered view (or guests too), here all members (registered and special and may be guests) can NOT edit any events/ entries.
In the eventlist itself you can only choose if the group can edit or not, you can not make any difference (therefore i cloned it - how this works, you will find in the english supportforum. You have to change the words in the sourcecode too, not only the filenames and directorynames).
The special (Joomla)group is the team of my site and here the eventlist is for having a holiday-calendar and planning teamchats / meetings or memberparties. The official eventlist is for all users (and teammembers) for official events.

Add on the event calendar module that's listed here and you have a great events solution. I tried one other event component and immediately went back to eventlist. Dead easy to configure and style, nice integration with other components, and actively developed. What more could you ask for? Definitely worth supporting.

I looked high and low for a good events manager. Thought I would have to do with a calendar system but came across this hot number.
Very very easy to setup venues, events and categories of events. It had the added luck of being able to let front end users submit their own events and venues based on user level.
Fantastic job a truly web 2.0 widget!

I love the way it looks on the site I am developing for a client. I loved how easy it was to set up. I loved all the documentation that helped a basic level amateur like me. I love the ease of the front end so the client can add events or change events easily. I have yet to hit a bug.
I don't need a registration component yet, but may in a year or so - that would be a nice added feature.

Not much more to say! Hopefully, it will be a much used addition to my family portal. Easy to install, configure, and use.
