AdSense Plugin
 Handy Plugin, December 6, 2006

Just installed this Mambot and it does what it says it will do. Haven't seen any bugs so far. I'm using v2.2 and it has many more features than I need so I think nearly anyone would find it useful for their application. Too bad I can't clone the bot and use different formats in different content items.

This is a great way to quickly insert ads into your content with little effort.

Clean, Easy, Needs Work!, November 17, 2006

I installed JoomlaBoard a few weeks ago and found that the templates didn't work. Figured that it was caused by an incompatability issue with JACLPlus. So I uninstalled JACLPlus and we all know what that means. I backed up the database and deleted Joomla and reinstalled. Easier than actually uninstalling JACLPlus.

Come to find out it wasn't an incompatability, the templates only affect the display of the actual post message and some CSS stuff! Kind of pointless to have a template in this case. So my site being a PHP site, I opened up the JoomlaBoard files and started making changes. I like the Invision Power Board Forum default skin so I made my JoomlaBoard look like that. It is nice and clean now and very functional. Would be nice with subforums but I'm ok for now. Anyhow, I haven't seen any security holes, everything works as it should but if you use Community Builder with it, your users will have less control over their forum settings.

Good product, but future releases need to ce coded for a REAL template system.

JoomlaStats
The Most Important Part!, November 17, 2006

JoomlaStats I had used TFSforMambo before and it really did the trick but this release is even better. You absolutely can't be a serious site administrator without this component. Once you learn how to read them, the stats tell you exactly what you need to do to your website to generate more traffic/revenue. There are a few things that would be nice to see in future releases like detailed reports or item reports like all of the hits to a page for an entire month, or total hits from a referer. Number of page views by the bot for the day would be helpful too. All in all, this tool is excellent at what it does but I wish it did more.

DOCman
Does what it said it will do!, November 7, 2006

DOCman I'm still getting the hang of it but the system works very well for me. I haven't had any trouble with the component but I was a little confused about the difference between Documents and Files at first. Haven't had a chance to try any mambots or module for DocMan. I use it for the distribution of the JoomlaBoard SearchBot and it work great for that.
