FireBoard Forum
Native support makes it worth it, January 28, 2008

FireBoard Forum For all the other reasons listed by the other reviewers, let me join in saying that FB is about the best Joomla forum option at the moment. Unless you need a forum with a lot of features such as SMF or VB, your best bet is Fireboard. Granted, its lacking in certain key features at the moment such as granular user control and access system, however as Joomla and FB improves, we can expect to see these voids filled in. Thankfully, there's an active dev team supporting both, so in the long run I think that FB is the way to go. Unless you need a powerful forum YESTERDAY go with VB or SMF. If you need a forum for the future, go with FB.

Scrolling News Module
Does the job, but missing some key features, January 27, 2008

This module works as advertised, but it is missing two necessary components:

1. There is no way to disable mambots. If you have a lot of markup in your articles they'll show up in the scroller as well, even if they throw off the formating.

2. The read more link can only be displayed as an image and not a custom user-defined text link.

Overall it works, but is nothing special.

Fair, but needs work, January 27, 2008

This module works fairly well in horizontal mode, but if you try to make it scroll vertically there's no way to make it pause between stories. This make it really hard to read if running in this mode.

Mini FrontPage
Very solid, needs just a bit more work!, January 27, 2008

Mini FrontPage As mentioned by previous reviewers, this module does wonders for the look of your site. There are many customization options such as the ability to toggle images on and off.

My only gripe is that there still needs to be a bit more control over the "fully story +" text. Right now the placement of that link seems somewhat random. At times it shows up at the bottom left of the module and sometimes to the right. I'd like to be able to force the "full story" text to go to one spot and one spot only to increase uniformity and cleanliness in the layout.

That's really my only gripe for an otherwise excellent and did I mention *free* module. All in all, not enough to ding it a star. Five stars and recommended. TP, I sure hope you keep developing this for a long time, as its a real life saver. You have a happy user here!

JPagePeel for Joomla! 1.5.x - NATIVE
 Works like a champ!, January 26, 2008

This is an excellent idea with equally excellent execution. With standard banner ads being zoned out by viewers, webmasters need additional tools to help keep people interested in the ads placed on their site. Enter JpagePeel. It installed flawlessly on my 1.5 stable and looks great.

My only beef with this extension is that it doesn't have a 1.0.x version available. There's literally dozens of legacy sites out there that could benefit from such an addition. I strongly urge the author to adapt this to 1.0.x when he finds the time. Five stars nonetheless!

mod_index_10[En]
Looks interesting, but needs some work., January 20, 2008

The text doesn't expand with the module width, even if you change the settings in the panel. The module looks great, but doesn't appear to display the links correctly.

Community Builder Profile Plugin
Simple and gets the job done!, October 1, 2007

This bot is quite old by now, but it still seems to work just fine on my 1.0.13 install. To the reviewer above me that couldn't get it to work, did you make sure to publish the bot?

AdSense Module (ClickSafe - Special Edition)
Fantastic Module for Easy of Use!, September 26, 2007

AdSense Module (ClickSafe - Special Edition) I've been very happy with this module thus far. It is easy to duplicate the settings for multiple adblocks on a single page. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a list of color hex codes next to all the boxes. That would save a lot of time, but it is not worth dinging this excellent module down to a four star rating.

Five stars!

You can easily setup the rotating colors also, which I've done. I can't say enough good things about this module!

LightBox Login/register Module
Works as advertised, needs a little work., July 8, 2007
0 of 1 people find this review helpful:

LightBox Login/register Module Let me start off by saying that this module works perfectly upon your first install. It looks slick and saves on page loads. Nice.

There are two things that need improvement:

Native support for Community Builder is a must. I love this module, but the lack of CB support means that I'll have to uninstall it for the time being.

Second, there needs to be options in the module config to change the CSS settings for background color, images, configurable fields and so forth.

This module is off to a great start, it just needs a bit more polishing. Keep an eye on this one.

CB Profile Flags
Great add-on, needs to support one more!, July 7, 2007

CB Profile Flags It would be great if this supported Live Users Pro. Other than that, I have no complaints. The install was a bit tricky, but part of it was due to the quirks in CB itself, not a limitation of the plug-in. Bruce, if you support Live Users Pro in an update, I'd be willing to give you a little stipend. Great job overall!
