Online Flash Quiz
Double edged sword, January 19, 2007
0 of 1 people find this review helpful:

Online Flash Quiz Online flash quiz is a double edged sword - for quizzes it does a wonderful job, just about perfect. HOWEVER, with a paid, commercial product, a certain level of support should come with the purchase - expect very little to no tech support.

The company I work for needed a way for the public to be able to take a quiz. This quiz was to help educate the public in health related issues. Online flash quiz fits that slot just about perfectly. There are a couple of draw backs - the results do not explain "why" the person got the answer wrong being one of the draw backs. This feature is supposed to be added to future releases.

The support for this product is almost non existent. Two questions in their support forum have gone unanswered for almost 2 weeks. For a paid, commercial product some level of support is expected. So far, for whatever reason, elearningforce is not providing any kind of real support for their product.

If you need a quiz section for your site, this one should fit the bill. Just remember, if you need support, you may not get it. For both of these reasons, online flash quiz gets an average rating - terrible support, but a really good product.

RSGallery2
Best Gallery for Joomla, January 8, 2007
6 of 8 people find this review helpful:

RSGallery2 If you are looking for a gallery to plug into your site, this is the one - look no further. When I set up my joomla site, the gallery selection was daunting. After trying several galleries, RSGallery2 was the easiest to install and configure. Sure it has a couple of small bugs, but nothing that will impact your site. The developers are working hard to make this the best gallery for joomla. If nothing else, since this gallery is so easy to install, its worth a look.

DOCman
 Does a good job, December 15, 2006

DOCman Even for a site with a very large download section this works great. With docman I am able to organize my downloads (500+ megs of pdf files) files into categories. Editing the docman template is fairly easy so changing background colors and the colors of the buttons is not too bad.

 Excellent Product, November 22, 2006

This is an excellent add-on for any joomla site. Its hard to imagine that putting a store front, with a shopping cart on a site could be this easy.

Total setup time - from start to finish was about an hour. This includes signing up at Amazon.

Support - you would think you have paid for support on this item its soo good.

There are a lot of buggy joomla add-ons out there - not this one!!! If your site has a nitch, or if you have a site that appeals to an audience, grab this bridge, and the Amazon Product feed from Mr. Rat and get after it.

For Mosets Tree - with some HTML characters I was able to link Mosets Tree into the Amazon Product feed. Members and guest at my site can read the reviews in mosets, then I added a "buy now" button inside the item description. Members and guest can click the "buy now" button and be taken to the amazon product feed where they can buy the item right then.

For news articles - Write up an article on your site, at the top, middle and/or bottom of the article add a link to "get prices and buy these items."

Yea, its that easy to open a store front on your site with this bridge.
