E-commerce solution for Mambo and Joomla websites.
Expensive but worth it., August 9, 2006

Ok - allow me to defend this product.

We needed an OSCommerce integration with Joomla done over a Saturday/Sunday. Initially we balked at the price, especially compared to EJoomCommerce. However, we found that although EJoomCommerce is nearly there (as of August 1st, 2006) and will probably be production-ready soon, we needed another option.

Marcin was really helpful. He took us through the benefits and explained that it took a long time to integrate - hence the price. I think the price is $50 for a self-installation and $250 for Marcin to do it. That fact isn't well explained on their website or here.

Our client was paying extra for speed and professionalism and they got it from this product.

Phil Taylor's mosListMessenger for Joomla 1.0.x
 4/5, July 10, 2006

Phil Taylor's mosListMessenger for Joomla 1.0.x I agree with Compass over almost all of the points. 4/5 indeed. This is a good solution, but missing some professional-grade feature

The throttle was particularly useful because if you have shared hosting and a lot of users then the server may well crash or slow to a tortoise-pace.

My advice would be to start with a very low number in "Messages Per Refresh:" and a high number in "Pause Between Refreshes:". If you server handles it well you can always increase the load later.

Header Image Module
 Repackage?, May 13, 2006

Header Image Module Might need repackaging. I had to rezip the files to work correctly on 1.0.8.

Bibliography

Bibliography After a long period of not being able to support the Bibliography, I am offering help that will increase during 2006. These will mainly be bug-fixes at first with the possibility of more features to follow later.
