Plugin Googlemaps
 Just awesome, August 29, 2008

Plugin Googlemaps When a component does something complex in a simple way, you just have to smile.
It does what you need, does it well and explains things well.
There are a lot of settings for granular control of how to display google's various map options.

Can't beat it.

cItemList
 Very Useful, August 25, 2008

Quite useful mambot, to show content lists within content pages.
A good companion to mosmodule.

Attend Events
Excellent for Groups, July 11, 2008

Very good for planning group activities for NPOs or other event-heavy organizations.
Integration with CB is good.

Wish for more control on how to display attendees of an event.Currently appears to show to anyone, including public users, with no control over display only to registered users, etc.

1.5 Version would be exciting to see, not sure if there is such work in progress.

Section/Category description
 Simple, perfect, July 2, 2008

This is saving me so much time!
It's very hard to convince non technical content managers to work inside of modules and then assign them all over the place. They get totally confused.

For typical marketing sites, this method allows you to instruct them to simply fill out section / cat descriptions which are more similar to content and then let them be sure it will appear in some consisten place in the template.

This is perfect, thank you!

Joomla SEF Patch
Love it - Put in Your Must Have List, January 4, 2007

Joomla SEF Patch What else is there to say.
Why would you NOT use this?
Along with Community Builder, JoomBackup and a few others, this should be part of any Joomla install.
It's unfortunate it has to be a hack, I think it should be part of core.

TagJ!
Works well but odd #'s appearing, October 10, 2006

This mambot appears to be working properly, showing:
Tags: keyword1 keyword2 etc. below each summary or detail view of item(s)

However, now my summary/detail items also show a number, usually "2" above all titles. i don't know where this comes from?

ContentByMail (formerly MamboByMail)
Very Useful - Wiki Like Behavior, September 25, 2006
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

This bot is very powerful, because it allows your users to submit content to your Joomla site from their email client.
Since it also accepts HTML emails, you can submit content with images already wrapped/formatted very easily.

Warning:
Default config fires mambot based on site visits. I have found this can slow your site down considerably.
Use the cron job.

Cron Script Old
The cron script is old and based on Mambo, needs some reworking.

Wrapper-Login
Skip The Bridges, August 23, 2006

This is very powerful tool for offering special pages to clients or to CMS administrators.
Put all your cpanel admin pages here, aggregate all applications related to the CMS here like dotproject, roundcube webmail, etc.

This goes a long way toward helping CMS administrators unify the digital world of the CMS community, whether it's commercial, NPO or personal.

You can associate your users with different custom login types (cpanel, roundcube, dotproject, wikis, etc.) and assign each user a unique pw to that application.

Some Issues:
Passwords stored in msyql as cleartext - not secure

The login options are somewhat confusing, documentation is limited, considering each application has its own settings and may be finicky about being wrapped in an iframe.

Some logins by Joomla user don't work, whereas if you hardcode the single-signon user/pw it does work. Needs a bit more work there.

TitleLink
Updated - More like a Wiki now, July 26, 2006
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

With the new update, you can now use simple brackets [ and ] to contain a reference to another page [Joomla Extensions] or to a Shortlink [Google News]
It's so simple it's turning my sites into pseudo wikis without the hassle of another component or bridge.
