Easy to install, easy to configure and a good range of settings. It's the only reader I could get to work because the others relied on me having Simplypie installed. Did exactly what I wanted.

This is a simple looking module, at first glance you wonder if it is limited in what it can do. But it was simple to use and meant I replaced other modules by using this. I used to use Adsense Joomlaspan but with this module being so easy to use I just got rid of Joomlaspan. I can now also use it to insert other bits of html and javascript in various areas of my pages.

As suggested by one of the other reviewers, DS-Syndicate wasn't quite there. With a bit of coding I got rid of the 9999 problem. With a few adjustments to the code I got DS-Syndicate working with JoomlaSEF on my web site and OpenSEF on someone elses web site. Martin who created this Extension says he has now incorporated my fixes into the current release. So now DS-Syndicate should work with SEF. I am extremely pleased with this extension because it saves me a lot of work. It creates feeds, now works with SEF, allows you to ping feed directories, has loads of different feed types. I really can't fault it for my personal needs.

I had no problems installing this application, which is good considering it was the first application I had in installed in joomla. Very stable and plenty of features and does what it says. Would like to be able to modify templates in joomla though, does this do template modification?

It took me a while to work out where to download the file from on the sourcefourge web site (but the sourceforge web site tends to be like that). The sourceforge web site looked as though this plugin was a dormant one that had been abandoned by it's owner. Once I worked out where the download file was it didn't upload properly, which I worked out was because the zip file had actually been zipped up twice, so I unzipped it.
Uploaded it at Installers > Mambots
Then jumped the gun a bit and reloaded a page on my web site expecting it to work instantly.
But no I needed to go to Mambots > Site Mambots and publish the Mambot
That was it I got it working and just had to tweak it a bit by adjusting the parameters in Mambots > Site Mambots.
In conclusion this is an excellent plugin, that has been programmed very well, with all the features you need and once you've tweaked the parameters there is nothing else to do with any of the pages you publish (which is absolutely brilliant). The only improvements that could be made is an installation document for dummies with instructions on how to avoid my above mistakes and a better laid out sourceforge web site. But I think this plugin is probably in it's early days so he can be forgiven for these problems. This plugin would get 5 stars if it wasn't for that.

Took me a while to install this because of the dreaded .htaccess file, but that was due to my lack of knowledge. Eventually I worked out that if I backed up my current .htaccess file and deleted it off my server, JoomSEF will actually create a new one and configure it automatically on install, so that's how I got it working. It's a very functional program and does everything necessary like dealing with 404 error files and of course it's main purpose of creating a search engine friendly link. The only thing they could really add to this program is meta tag generation, to save me having to install the a seperate program, nevertheless a very good program
