Jobline
Not bad but not finished, September 11, 2007

Jobline It works, and jobs can be added quite quickly and easily.

Not having categories is a BIG issue, and an update was mentioned, but no news on that as yet.

You can submit a application without filling any fields in, so you have to code that yourself or live with it.

The support site seems very quite, and there have been a few questions about v2, which haven't been answer.

Is this a cold project?

FireBoard Forum
 It does a job..., May 19, 2007

FireBoard Forum It's simple, it works and it doesn't require a bridge, which makes it useful for those who only need a very basic forums.

I'm running SMF along side joomla (no bridge as it caused me some problems) as I need a full feature forum, in the same way I use Joomla instead of Tiny portal for the content of my site.

SMF has a large development team creating a powerful quick and simple forums, a plugin like this just isn't on that scale or quality.

I'll no doubt use it for some projects, but not many.

As another note I found it slower than simpleboard not sure why as yet.

Yahoo Web Search Extension
Not bad, but it beaks login, April 30, 2007

Yahoo Web Search Extension It works really well as it stands, but when you have a login mod active it breaks the code, which makes me wonder how well it is written as this is one of the basic modules in joomla, so shouldn't be broken by a mod.

When it's fixed I'll probably use it.
