I Echo All Positive Reviews!, June 22, 2006 |
This is great addition to the Joomla community. And yes, us lazy people would really appreciate being able to simple enter a zip code and be done. However, the component, mod and cron plugin are well documented and the author's home page provides step by step instructions as well as handy links to the required source information.
What more could you possibly want for free?

Did You Read The 41 Page Manual?, June 20, 2006 |
I was going to go with another component based on all of the very negative press. However, after comparing features, I felt Yanc was more of what I was looking for -- not as simple as letterman but not quite as robust as phplist. A fully integrated middle of the road newsletter component for Joomla. It is well documented complete with a full color 41 page user manual that is well worth the read. Sure I found a few bugs, but it's a beta offering and the forums fully addressed my concerns.
I really hope development on the component continues!

Truth In Advertising!, June 17, 2006 |

This component is exactly what it is advertised to be simple. Works great without being overly complicated to set up. A search bot is available for download at the author's homepage that really completes this component. I highly recommend it.

TMEdit
Most reliable for the Money, May 18, 2006 |

If you really want a great editor, you'll want to get wysiwyg pro. However, if you're on a tight budget -- this one is the most reliable bar none. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!

Almost but not quite, May 18, 2006 |
This is indeed a well thought out editor. It is almost as good as wysiwyg pro or TMEdit (formerly HTMLArea3 XTD) however, it is still very buggy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. After installing it on several sites with mixed results, I gave up and bought the wysiwyg pro. All the aggrevation wasnt worth my time -- it was cheaper to just spend the money on something that REALLY works ALL OF THE TIME!!
