SOBI Review & Rating
 Outstanding Work - AGAIN!!!, November 28, 2006
2 of 2 people find this review helpful:

The SOBI 2 component has moved forward by leaps and bounds with superb features and functionality. More features and plugins seem always to be in the works and always quick to come. This SOBI2 Reviews and Rating Plugin works perfectly and is easy to configure and easy to moderate through the back end of each directory related entry. Overall SOBI2 is an excellent alternative to such directories as Mosets Tree and outperforms many others with its ease of use and features.

Content Links List
 Good Work, November 8, 2006

Content Links List This module works well and is easy to configure. I would agree with the previous review and add that a random the ability to rotate random content within a section, category or listed content items would be a very good addition to the module. Thank you.

Sigsiu Online Business Index 2 (SOBI 2)
 Excelent, November 1, 2006
2 of 2 people find this review helpful:

Sigsiu Online Business Index 2 (SOBI 2) After realizing I was having issues on my end after reaching server resource limits, I attempted an install of SOBI 2.5.2, and in conjunction with Open-SEF, I had the component and its SEF URLs working like a charm. While I haven't spent a lot of time with it yet, it has some very useful configuration options and features, and what is even better is the fact that the component is actively being developed with very useful plugins. I assume we'll soon see the addition of a commenting system along with the component. Thanks to the developers!!

Multithumb
 WOW!!!!, October 13, 2006

Multithumb I've been using Joomla / Mambo for over a year now and am quite experienced but had forgotten about the mosimage function and actually had to do a search to figure out how to use it again. Once I figured it out, I installed MultiThumb, AllVideos Plugin and Tabs In Content Items and have an extremely powerful solution that should certainly be integrated into Joomla 1.5. I wish I wouldn't have overlooked these mambots; it would have made for easier image integration and a much more appealing site. Excellent work on MultiThumb!!!

Tabs & Slides (in content items) Plugin
 OUTSTANDING WORK, October 13, 2006

Tabs & Slides (in content items) Plugin Outstanding work. This type of capability ought to be in the core Joomla. Though, where is the support forum? My MP3 file is playing super sonic speed, and I can't figure out how to slow it down to normal speed.

JoomlaStats
Excellent Resource But Creates Massive Database, September 26, 2006
3 of 3 people find this review helpful:

JoomlaStats I love having the ability to fine tune the content and content placement of website based upon easily accessible statistics. It has proved very helpful to success. Though, looking at the load upon the database, it is insane. With approximately 20,000 unique visitors at approximately 15-20 pages per visitor, the database has rocketed up to nearly 100 mb, making complete backups of the database and a restore a huge hassle.

kl_rssfeed for Joomla! 1.0.10+
 Wow, July 18, 2006

You can create an entire site based upon these feeds. Really, there'll be little reason for anyone to go anywhere else. I look forward to how this does with the search engine rankings.

Promo Link Package
 Woulda Coulda, July 16, 2006

Promo Link Package Would be a great component if only I could have got it to work. When attempting to save the configuration, an error is produced, as seen below. There is no real support forum that I have found. I'll be keeping my eye on this component, though, since it appears to be very simple and very functional in the marketing side of Joomla. Thanks for the efforts to the developer.

Gallery 2 Bridge
 THE BEST, June 17, 2006
0 of 2 people find this review helpful:

Gallery 2 Bridge It takes a little more work than loading Gallery 2 than the average Joomla component, since it is only a bridge component that also requires the software, but it is the best overall solutions, since it is very powerful and very search engine friendly under the control of the write hands. Not only does it integrate well with Community Builder, but you can also make use of it as a photo / media e-commerce solution at the same time. You cannot beat this bridge component for the applications listed above. I have yet to try others, but it also works well as a showcase for photography or video work.

It can become buggy at times, particularly when you load it full of images, but on the other hand, it doesn't SEEM (I have not studied and compared the databases resources used) to require as much database load as Gallery 2.

GOOD but NOT AS GOOD AS. . ., June 17, 2006

This is a good component and so far the easiest photo component of its caliber to install, but it lacks in the functionality that Gallery2. For example, after extensive testing, the search engines just don't do as well with this component as Gallery 2, which performs superbly when under the write control. Additionally, it cannot be configured to accept purchases of media (photos / video / and other) as Gallery 2 can. So far as I can tell, it has a few more excellent applications with the Community Builder tabs component, but Gallery 2 is again easier to configure when looking to add seperate galleries for your site users.
