LinkBack
Great idea. Works for me., September 27, 2007
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

LinkBack Instant gratification for people adding links and driving traffic *towards* your site ... with no maintenance.

I changed mine to open a new window when the displayed links are clicked. This could be an option.

I'm sure others will think of improvements, but this is an excellent start.

It seems such a good idea, I'm wondering why I haven't seen a module like this before, but I can't think of a downside.

External link enhancement
Nice! Works. Author responsive to suggestions., September 27, 2007

Excellent work backed up by an interested and responsive author.

Does what it says in the description. Just what I needed.

Web-Call-Back Module for Asterisk & SIP Servers
Excellent, but not for faint hearted :), June 22, 2007
1 of 2 people find this review helpful:

Web-Call-Back Module for Asterisk & SIP Servers This extension is quite an achievement.

It adds a professional facility that can encourage your potential or repeat customers to contact you *now*, initiated from your website.

As Michael says, you need to be reasonably technical to use it and I have spent quite some time working with Asterisk to feel confident.

Using Trixbox (Asterisk) with the FreePBX configuration utility seems a good option for those less experienced. It probably depends on your level of understanding of Linux, networking and telephony.

Restriction: If you use multiple modules on the same page, they may all update the same CSS 'span', but this can be edited around.

Ideas:

- Facility to restrict number being called to some pattern match eg to say landlines within your country, plus relevant error message feedback.

- Option to allow / disallow call-back to SIP addresses.

- Facility to select from a drop-down list of contacts that can call you back. eg Sales, Support, or regional offices. I guess this would need multiple contexts, one for each potential caller ??

Brilliant. I hope the developer has time to consider adding the additions suggested above.

SMARTlink
Not working for me, June 4, 2007

SMARTlink Good idea, but only some features work for me.

I think this should be version 1.0 alpha.

Suggested improvement: I need to be able to turn each feature on or off.

Example:

I only want two things:

- External links in new windows
- Web addresses turned into and HTML links

... and so I would like to turn ALL the other [xyz -> abc] features off.

I have registered at the www.socioclick.com, but there's no forum and the 'Contact Us' link brings up site search, so how do I feed back problems?

The main problem is the plugin producing this:

--escaped:9930a553b273ea735d46ba4576465334--

instead of some links.

Look forward to a new release and a method of feeding back bugs/issues.

Reem Content Templating
 I like it., April 18, 2007

This is an interesting and useful idea that I haven't seen before.

It is a good way to 'enforce' some level of consistent content formatting on site members' articles.

I found that using div's in the template worked better than just tables. Might have been a problem with JCE, I don't know.

The bot only uses the first template you define and ignores others.

I guess the author is going to implement template to section/category/article mapping in a later version.

With this kind of mapping, I would have given it 5 stars.

Keep up the good work Mohamed.

Time Zone Clock
 Excellent - Thank You, April 18, 2007
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

Time Zone Clock Now works with IE7.

Another reviewer mentioned a problem with 'IE7 wont load'. I had the same problem, but version 3.8 SOLVED it for me.

This was just what I want to help site visitor know when other members from different time zones are likely to be on-line.

Excellent!

Thanks for sharing your work.

Social Bookmarking Buttons Plugin
Very good. I also need multilingual text., April 3, 2007
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

Social Bookmarking Buttons Plugin Pros:

- Well thought out and implemented bot
- Easy to use
- Tidy graphics looked OK on my site

Cons:

- Hard coded 'hard return' and blank lines
- No optional separator between icons
- No CSS options

- Not multilingual / JoomFish aware

LinX - Reciprocal link exchange component (SEO)
Useful and Improving, March 14, 2007

LinX - Reciprocal link exchange component (SEO) Glad to see this is being developed further. Lots of work has clearly been done since the previous version and it is much improved.

Thanks for that.

People always want more don't they? ... My suggested improvement/wish is to allow the remote site to choose one of several link texts or link graphics, so that the remote site can choose text or graphic that fits their page, for the link back to your site AND for the landing page on your site to be different for each text or graphic too.

Attend Events
This is a good and improving bit of kit., February 6, 2007
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

I have tested the current version and 0.9.0 build 15 ALPHA and am impressed and optimistic about this development.

You can tell that Peter is precise, organised and a clear communicator. There's even documentation in progress for the ALPHA version.

I need the features of the new (alpha) version, so have looked mainly at that. There are of course bugs.

I like the logical way things are organised in configuring sessions.

My wish list in order of decreasing importance for future versions includes:

Ability for session organisers to add sessions through the front end.

Allow different types of attendees with limits per type - eg In an online class, 3 talkers (pay)& 15 listeners (free).

Ability to see/use your local time (Useful for online events, where location and hence time, is not constant.)

Another idea: Option to send an email to attendees, with field substitution. Useful for sending a link to a parameterized feedback form AFTER event finishes, so that feedback can be monitored or published. Or could link to rating system on website.

I'm not sure of how this relates to / overlaps with a component like AKReservations. Perhaps this is because I have not tested it using JEvent and/or JCron.

I'll have a look at the new build (16).

Keep up the great work.
