X-Banner
 Thank You, August 17, 2007
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

X-Banner Could not get any simpler. I had previously tried banner mods that gave each banner equal displays, now this one does that and more.
One very small point - there was no "alt" tag for the displayed banner image, also how to have click open in new window

iCoNtent
Does what it says it will, August 15, 2007

iCoNtent A handy plugin for those looking for an easy way of styling their content. In the right hands, can be easily tweaked to suit individual site requirements. 4/5 from me. Well done!

Vemod News Mailer
Errors after install, May 23, 2007

Vemod News Mailer 1. Hard coded sql table prefix
2. After re-install with hard coding table prefix problem fixed, backend appears to be OK
3. Front end displays available categories, BUT
4. When trying to subscribe, page not found (using JoomSEF)

I really hope this gets going, as it sounds promising

Productbook
Reg Globals On, May 6, 2007

Productbook As Joomla recommends Register Globals to be Off, to have this addition, one that I was surely thinking I could use, to require the setting to be ON, why would I compromise.

Or am I missing something here?

Random Articles
 I just say - Thank You, January 30, 2007

Random Articles I have to agree that this should be on everyone`s list of "must Have" extensions. Simple, and does just what it says.

 What a beauty, October 1, 2006

Thanks for what I see developing into a widely used plugin, especially when the image library is extended by the more graphically minded than myself. Even so, the supplied library allows for quite impressive and eyecatching changes to content. Bring on more of these wonderul additions to an ever improving CMS project.

Jombackup daily mysql backup bot
Great but small question, September 17, 2006

Must say, quite impressed, as not only does it work well, but logic tells me it will be doing the backup in the wee hours of the morning as the check of dates will mean the first visit for the day will trigger the bot.
Now my question - can it be made to be selective, for those times where you have more than one site using the db (using different db prefixes). The reason for asking is that I have an instance where there are 2 sites sharing the same db, along with extra data in the db, and both sites` backups contain the whole of the db`s data, including the extra data for non-joomla scripts. Not a big deal, but just a thought.
A huge thank you for this great tool, which I feel should be highlighted in the Security forums at J! Forums.

HP ToDo list
Just what we needed, September 8, 2006

HP ToDo list Thank You. With a site that has 20+ people involved in site updates etc, this now allows a simple but effective way for users to keep track of those often forgotten "little things" that need doing.

IP Filter
Great idea BUT, August 3, 2006
2 of 2 people find this review helpful:

I am sure some will find this addition attractive in the first instance, reality tells me to look for other more effective solutions.

IP addresses being blocked from those who are "unfriendly", are likely to be changed by something smarter than knowing the last IP that tried to do something other than visit your site.

That being said, I see a possible use if it was the exact opposite - allow only from certain IP's.
Intranets, or closed sites.

But thank you for another addition to the J! community

AlphaContent 3.0.4 Ajax rating system included
Thanks for a great component, April 14, 2006

AlphaContent 3.0.4 Ajax rating system included I particularly like the layout, obviously a lot of thought went into this. Suits me as a replacement for a sitemap
