Ravenswood Joomla Server
An Excellent Tool, March 2, 2007
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

Just downloaded it out of interest and am really glad I did. I hadn't used Community Builder before so thought it would be an idea to try it with that. Installed fine, no problem. I have also installed Joomla board, Event List. Mamblog, Market Place, Sigsiu and Uddeim. They all work fine including the CB plugins.

I have also installed a copy on my laptop and it makes an excellent demo platform.

Only thing I haven't sussed out is how to access PHPMyAdmin. I can see it there but not sure how to call it up.

Still gets 5 stars though and big thanks to the developer.

gigCalendar
Another fine component!, February 16, 2007

gigCalendar Have just installed on a site for a band and it is true there are a couple of bugs. One to do with the date in the calendar showing the previous year. Strange how it worked fine in a test environment but not on the live site. There is a fix for it in the gigcal forum which just needs a few lines at the beginning of cal.php changed.

I've also noticed a bug in the pop up info boxes where it always shows the start time as 1am. Unfortunately the forum seems to be down at the moment so can't see if there is a fix.

You can also change the years in cal.php. Just overkey the existing years with in the cal.php script with 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 making sure you change all the years the same on each line.

If anyone is not too happy changing the code and wants a copy of the amended php.cal, email me at ttiger@lineone.net. Put gigcal in the title to get through the spam filter.

Apart from that, it all seems to work well and thanks to the development team for their work. Looking forward to version 2.0!

AllVideos 2.5.3 - The all-in-one media solution
 Excellent Job, February 15, 2007

AllVideos 2.5.3 - The all-in-one media solution Worked first time - just installed the mambot, put the code for a Youtube video on a page and it was instantly there.

I found it extremely simple to set up and use.

Thanks to the developers who put in all the hard work in producing a fine piece of software.
