Scary, but oh so good, February 15, 2007

This is slightly scary at first, and I managed to create a user permissions group that seems to have more permissions that Super Admin, because it's in the DB but disappeared off the list!

Anyway, this component is a hack to give Joomla the ability to do things it should be able to do anyway IMHO, such as create communities of users that have content only they can see.

I found this incredibly useful.

Just so simple..., February 15, 2007

This component is near-perfect! I've not experienced any problems with it whatsoever. It works in a very logical way, and does what it's supposed to do.

It's very simple, once you get your head around the idea that the form items are separate from the form.

Only one thing could make it better: Better management of tables:
IF, when editing a form already bound to a table, you could keep the old table and bind the form to a new one instead of deleting it, and then have some method of managing your old tables (IE: Deleting/viewing data), that would make this component second to none.

Nice one guys ;)

RSS Feed Manager
Time for the bot?, February 15, 2007

I thought this component was fantastic. Totally what I needed.
I found it was missing a valuable mambot: an rss button includer.

So, I've written one. IF anyone wants it, just email me. I tried to submit it to the owners of this component, but I can't read German and so couldn't really navigate their site. Sorry.

It works by putting {rssfeedbutton}ID{/rssfeedbutton} in your content, where ID is the ID of the feed.

It creates an RSS image-button, which links to that feed.
If I'm barking up the wrong tree, please forgive me.
