 Has large potential (try newest release!), August 9, 2006

As a former extCalendar user I like this component very much. In my opinion it is more stable than extCalendar and has besides the lack of a real mini-calendar module, a good backend handling of events and categories.

What I like most is that you can assign "public", "registered" and "special" privileges to event categories. This was one of the things which was missing in extCalendar.

What still has to be done:
- mini calendar module for a quick calendar view on e.g. a front page of a website
- solving some minor bugs

Some things are still not really perfect, but I think that is just a matter of time. I installed the latest version (1.6.1) of this component without any problems whatsoever and it works fine for me.
