Perrys Guest Book
 E-mail Address, May 17, 2006

Perrys Guest Book I too worry about my site being a source for spammers.

The Component needs to have the email address hidden but accessible by attaching it to the name during display.

(i.e. click the name and a pre-filled mail page springs up or something based on the already present internal mailing function which sends the return address of the mailer and the ip address similar to SMF internal mailings)

There are too many spambots out there that scrape screens like this and put you on god knows what lists.

Other than that, this is a great little component that 'does the trick'.

Doesn't seem to play nice with SEF, May 14, 2006

I checked and tripple checked the instructions.

The names of your photos and the galleries dictate the name that appears on the screen.

I used VIP Room at first for one of my selections and SEF forced me to rename it to VIP_Room ... which causes this to become the Gallery name ... and so on.

So, he's right.

If you want to stop using SEF and do a lot of manual copying and creation of files and directores plus call up his web site for instructions since he forgot to include it in the package then this is for you.
