Free Traffic With BlogRush Module
Neat, simple, useful, October 1, 2007

Free Traffic With BlogRush Module This is a convenient little module to display a BlogRush widget. Very easy to use.

The one thing I'd love to see added is Module Class Suffix option to allow a bit of styling of the module format.

Other than that, this module does what it has been create to do in a neat, simple package.

JoomlaMindmap
GREAT idea, NOT ready for primetime use, June 2, 2007

JoomlaMindmap This extension is such an excellent idea. However there are 2 problems I'm currently having.

1) An older version (1.8) works like a champ once the absolute path of the Joomla site is entered into the config.php file. Not so with the latest version (2.1.1). I'm still trying to figure out the difference. I can point version 1.8 to a site and up it comes. When I point 2.1.1 to it (with the correct info in the config.php file) all I get is the "undefined" bubble and nothing else. I'll post again if I sort out that problem.

2) This extension will NOT work with any SEO features enabled. It attempts to go to links based on the non-SEO structure of Joomla content. Turn on SEO or add an extension like OpenSEF and this very cool site map is rendered useless.

I'd love to see an SEO-enabled version of this. I'd pay for it! It's such a cool site map when it works.

If you don't use SEO, you simply cannot beat this very very cool site map.

AkoCloud
Cool, fun module - needs a few additions, April 23, 2007

AkoCloud This is a great, easy-to-use way to give a Web 2.0-like tag cloud display of your content.

Install is easy and problem-free.

Setup is just as easy.

The module needs a setting for a Module Class Suffix to better integrate it into any given template.

And you'll have to add to the blacklist word list to filter out useless items. Words like "because" and "really" and "thing" show up pretty easily.

Oh, one more little quibble - it doesn't handle non-alphanumeric characters too well. So things like "I'm" show up as "I39m" and "it's" looks like "it39s". These can be filtered in the blacklist word list. But it would be nice for the module to handle punctuation correctly.

Still, great module overall!!

Really Cool Module, April 7, 2007

I love this module. It installed without any problem. It's easy to configure and flexible. Some modules like this are limited to one category or one section. This one allows for many and has many configuration options. It works with IE6, IE7 and Firefox 2.

The one thing I wish it had is a setting for a random order of content items. You can choose by "Latest" or by "Popular". I'd like to see a random setting that would switch the order for each new visitor so all items would have a chance to show in the scroll.

Overall, an excellent, smooth and cool module!
