What does it do?, July 4, 2006 |

I don't get this module. What does it actually do? Is it just a fancy warning bar that you can raise or lower to tell users how secure or insecure your website is? Why? Please be clear on the modules purpose and usage. I don't get it!

Good but still needs work, June 9, 2006 |
Honestly it is a very good photo system that works well and looks good on my site. There are two problems:
Zoom function is enoying and buggy. You can disable this in the settings (which I recommend)
File Uploading:
You can upload by zip file (but no files larger then 2mb due to php).
You can upload files individually (or you can have a life).
You can use the Java Applet (which dosen't work in Firefox 1.504 yet worked in IE and JAVA works in my firefox).
You can point to a location on the server (which did not work for me)
As you can see File uploading is a huge bane to this great Component. Otherwise no complaints.

gigCalendar
Great Gig Calendar, May 6, 2006 |

This honestly is an absolutely fantastic calendar for managing bands and gigs.
I just wish someone would port this as a general calendar tool so that anyone who wants to use it for managing events and such could.

JCE
JCE rocks. Use the plugins, April 19, 2006 |
Yea I got to agree, it rocks.
I had trouble with tiny mce as you have to load images into a media manager...then port them across. ...why?
JCE has an image manager module, a flash module and a file upload module. If you install these then users can upload their images onto the site direct. You can also disable this feature if you want to!

Extended Menu
Promises allot, but not sure on delivery., April 18, 2006 |
I installed this module after all the rave reviews and thought that it would answer all my problems (as I really want to advoid Jscript).
Sadly it is not easy and very complex if you want to use it to make drop down menu's! I took a look at the demo site which seems to be the project site and became even more confused. Very quickly.
If someone can post some easy steps to get drop down menus going with this module then please do. But I will not try to muck around with it as if my users can't do it then what's the point of it being there.
All in all not for amatuers.

D4J TransMenu
Does not work with 404_sef, April 15, 2006 |
1 of 2 people find this review helpful:
Yea D4j Transmenu does not work with SEF.
So till the module at fault patches itself don't put them together.
if (TransMenu.isSupported()) { self['transmenu93298'] = new TransMenuSet(TransMenu.direction.right, 0, 0, TransMenu.reference.topRight); document.getElementById('transmenu93298_menu1').onmouseover = function() { self['transmenu93298'].hideCurrent(); } var transmenu93298_menu2 = self['transmenu93298'].addMenu(document.getElementById("transmenu93298_menu2"));
Fatal error: [] operator not supported for strings in /home/ubunt3/public_html/newsite/components/com_sef/sef_ext/com_content.php

D4J TransMenu
Bloody Great, really simple once you know how, April 14, 2006 |
Straight up the best and easiest sub menu system.
Where I got caught is that it utilises the Sub menu system within Joomla to make it's items. You need to make a new item within main menu, then look for the parent item tag and select another menu entry other then top. Then it works fine. (this is the user guide)
Yea I am a noob. But it works and looks slick
