Using a bridge is never easy. Orstio's bridge is as easy as it gets I suppose. And SMF in itself is worth the hassle. Once you have it wrapped nicely into your template you will never look back.

Whenever you get stuck these guys are there to help. Five star support.

Cache accelerate component for Joomla, Mambo At first saying that you can make Joomla 100 times faster sounded like a joke.

But since I have a couple live sites and speed is indeed their main issue I gave it a go. Facts:
1. This component works right out of the box. You can change a few parameters, but only if know what you are doing
2. pages really do get created on the server 100 times-or-so faster than before
3. The author is extremely responsive
4. All the updates he provided were spot on
5. Cookies (which were mentioned below) are already supported and again the first version worked right out of the box.

If you run a high traffic site this component is a must. If you're sceptical, wait for the demo at joomlatwork which will show you the difference.

If there was a vote for most useful 3PD component... This one really is special.

AJAX Header Rotator for flash-like image rotation! Install it, point it to a folder with your images, sit back and enjoy.

And the developer is extremely helpful. 5 star component if header rotator is what you are looking for.
