Events Calendar
Great tool / Available support, May 30, 2007

Events Calendar I had no problems installing everything except the "Patch" was not an installer. I made the assumption that you just copy the files behind the scenes (probably not the best practice, but it works). I ran into a bug in the "Latest Events" bot that had something to do with having no events in the past but some in the future. I found the solution posted on the wiki associated with this plug in.

EVEN WITH ALL THAT - This is the best free calendar out there! It does everything I want. The color coding on the calendar, and the "Latest events" bot for showing the next events in the side bar was REALLY what the doctor ordered. Unlike some of the other event calendars, you can use images or other content in the event descriptions. Exactly what I wanted.

How they could improve:

The "latest events" display mode could be a tiny bit more intuitive.. I would like to have one field to show how many days in the past separate from how many days in the future. For example to show 30 days in the past but 90 days in the future.

AllVideos 2.5.3 - The all-in-one media solution
Easy to use - does what I need, May 4, 2007

AllVideos 2.5.3 - The all-in-one media solution Installation was easy, I like the "how to" right in the bot settings (I wish more worked that way). I tested it with MOV, MPG, DIVX-avi and FLV; but I don't think I'll use it for anything but the FLV since that seems to be the best for internet use.

I had one problem with using this with a free template made by siteground.com with FLV files. While it worked for MOV and AVI, the buttons would not work on FireFox for FLV (clicking would not play or pause). I could auto play, but then all would auto play and none would play again. I changed the template and it works on IE and FireFox now.

Great all-in-one solution!

Simply Links
Almost exactly what I need, April 25, 2007

Simply Links This is nice for central management of links in content! This way if I need to change a link that is associated with a name I do it in one place instead of every place that name occurs.

There is only one thing I would add... There needs to be an option of it opens the link in the same page or in a new page. This only opens it in your current browser, you can't make it open in the current frame or as a new window.

eventCal Upcoming (Special Revision)
This is a must for eventCal, April 25, 2007

The ability to show end times and change the text behaviors is great. Now if someone would make the description text longer and put a wysiwyg editor for the description so that we can embed images into the linked description, links to google earth or mapquest to show where the events are.... etc.

eventCal
Ok, but just plain text, April 25, 2007

I like the mini-event listing on the left hand side, but for eventCal to be _really_ useful, it needs to have the description of the event to be a wysiwyg editor so we can put images into the text, links and other useful information like maps to the event. Some of the other calendars do this, but are missing the "mini" event listing feature.
