ProjectFork
Lots of potential, November 24, 2006

ProjectFork This certainly looks very promising. As the author as pointed out, there are bugs in 0.6.0 particularly with SEO turned on in the back end of Joomla. I've implemented the hotfixes and it works to an extent now but there are still a few issues.

Also it would be nice if the component accommodated templates with not too much width to play with. The site I'm trying to introduct Hydra too is quite a narrow design so I tried disabling some of the Settings options but even with them turned off the heading 'Settings' is still displayed anyway so the width is still taken up.

Nevertheless, I'll be keeping an eye on the progress of Hydra and will be installing further updates as they are released.

AJAX LiveSearch module for VirtueMart
 Very impressed!, October 30, 2006

AJAX LiveSearch module for VirtueMart Just installed this module on my site and it works flawlessly. Thanks for a very cool add-on.

 Pretty good, July 3, 2006

I was going to post some comment on the Forge page for Jim but I can't get it to create an account so I'll post it here instead. There's a bit of a bug in the config (/components/com_jim/config.jim.php) in that $JimConfig["link2cb"]= is either Yes or No. However, for it to work properly, it needs to be either a 1 or a 0. The only reason I wanted to turn it off in the first place is that the inbox has the same bug as myPMS Open Source. This could be just on my installation but in the inbox, where it shows the username who the PM is from, the link should take you to the Community Builder profile of that user but instead, each link takes you to your own profile which I'm sure isn't the intention. JIM and myPMS both do this but like I say, it *could* just be my installation. In the meantime, I just disable the link to CB.

Hope this post helps somebody!

Gallery 2 Bridge
 Works a treat, April 19, 2006

Gallery 2 Bridge Having tried all the other gallery extensions, I eventually gave Gallery2 a go and although setting that up is a bit of a lengthy process, getting this component installed was nice and easy. Be sure to check out the support forum out on the website for extra info - a couple of questions I had about the add-on were already answered very fully over there.
