J!Vote
Excellent Ajax Voting, degrades nicely., May 25, 2007

This is really good! It replaces the default MOSratings mambot and gives a nice ajaxy voting system with stars that you mouse over. It continues to work nicely with javascript turned off too. One thing, you have to unpublish the MOSratings mambot or you'll see both voting interfaces. I have found no problems in firefox.

Community Builder
Very Powerful, perhaps not for beginners, May 21, 2007

Community Builder This is an absolutely awesome extension. Out of the box it overrides Joomla's default user management system, letting you add extra fields, allowing users to edit their profiles and upload avatars. Users can talk to each other via email and view each other's profiles. There are a huge number of lovely little touches, for example you can hide fieds when the user first registers so the user is not overwhelmed by a massive form.

Installation was easy but not trivial. A helpful readme file was included which took me through the process of publishing the correct modules and disabling the standard user login functionality. Overall, this is a very impressive piece of work and I'm looking forward to playing with it further!

TMEdit
Doesn't muck up your markup, May 3, 2007
2 of 2 people find this review helpful:

I've tried out a whole load of editors and for me this is the one. I have direct access to my html with a button click, and by this I mean the editor itself shows me the html rather than popping up a new window with my markup in it. Unlike other editors it doesn't strip out my class attributes, and it even leaves my newline characters intact. All this plus it looks great and is very simple and usable for non programmers.

Oh and the image upload functionality is a dream. Will definitely be checking out the commercial version.
