Joomla 1.5 SEO Patch
great! (but need a fix for double tags), April 8, 2008
1 of 2 people find this review helpful:

Joomla 1.5 SEO Patch It is a great seo enhancement, a must if you care about search engine positioning.
It is easy to install and manage. Updates seems to be released quickly enough after a new j! fix is out. This matters from a security point of view.

There is one problem related to keywords and description metatags: You'll have double tags if you already have set up them prior to patch, and no way to get rid of those doubles until you don't uninstall the patch, delete every keyword and description and repatch. If you have lot of articles it could be a really annoying task. So, before patching try to clear your tags.
This is a known issue, well documented by users in their forum (even with no response by owners). It should be fixed or, at least, documented in installing instructions.

4 stars, but once properly fixed, consider them as 5!

SectionEx
 really good, March 17, 2008
2 of 2 people find this review helpful:

SectionEx This component adds great functionality to organize your sections and categories in one logical layout under one single menu item.
It is easy and it works.
Support is very good.
I'm generally really prudent, especially with content reorganization extensions, though I'm going to use it for my website, so I'm confident development won't be abandoned.

TitleLink
It generates many duplicated ids. Not fully SEF, January 13, 2008
1 of 2 people find this review helpful:

it generates as many duplicate ids as many links you put in different articles, (tested in j!1.5, SEO on) as it is not capable to link to the page where article is already and uniquely published.

It generates a page under the same page where you put it and your url will have id# instead of title of article. So it is not fully sef.

if you really want parametrized links to articles (not a good pratice as your pages don't have be dynamic or internet would be a land of 404) you can use :

article

even it is a bad way for the id# and duplicate, you can still decide where to put it and don't need to install nothing, and they are not much more characters to digit.

Anyway wiki and other features worths the install.

Calendar Icon very nice blog style plugin.
But to use it I'll wait until you release a new version that don't disable title links!

MostRead Cloud and Lists (with Recent & Featured)
 great work!, September 14, 2007

MostRead Cloud and Lists (with Recent & Featured) finally the cloud that it was missing!

I found it extremelly useful... and beautyful.
For immediate use when a visitor access the site.

for joomla!1.03 and native 1.5...
This module works, installation and setup is painless.
The best part is support from Pietro, quick and responsive, much more than found in some too-busy/lazy-to-listen-at-you-paying-sites...

great work!

yvComment
Very good work, August 13, 2007

yvComment installation: ok
ease of use : ok

I found this extension really effective.
I tried other solutions for joomla 1.0 but they often doesn't work properly or have too many unseful functions to create template problems.
The strength of this plugin is its simplicity and functionality, what common users needs.
I looked at the site and a pagination function is wip. Would be perfect.
I hope this will become the "standard external" comment plugin for j!1.5, so I encourage you to continue developing.

Though it is a really 30 secs simple task to change .css, my only suggestion is to change that default blue-shock color cobination :)
