It installed without error on Joomla 1.0.10.

It works a bit quirky for extensive registration levels and multiple menus. I have five menus and five registration levels. Access levels are incremented. For example, registered user level 1 can view menus 1 and 2, registered user level 2 can view menus 1, 2 and 3. What I experience is registered user 1 was able to view menus 1 and 2 in addition to the menu title for menu 3. This is not what I needed.

I am using JACLPlus and it works perfectly. I was able to create access levels, more than the default of Joomla's installed (Public, Registered, Special). I can now assign more access levels to each menu without users getting a peak of a menu they are not allowed to access.

This component and module is OK. It is just did not work as I had hoped.

I'm using version 1.0.10 of Joomla. If you go to the abovementioned homepage you will find the componet version that works with this version.

I did not have any problems installing this component. It is a great addition to the Joomla software.

This component was very easy to install. After installation it is coded to take you directly to the configuration area for adjustments.

The search feature is found in the "To:" field. When you type a letter it will generate a list of every registered user name where that letter appears. This is very efficient!

The status indicator changes colors, denoting which private messages have been read.

The only problem I found with this component is the PHP programming for the notification email. The author is using /r/n/r/n to command line breaks. This shows the recipient "/r/n/r/n" in the email. This may prove confusing for users and generate a lot of unnecessary Admin help requests.

The code is short and organized making it easy to fix. I suggest opening the language PHP file, for e.g. english.php, going to line 70 (or around line 70 depending on your language PHP file) and changing the "/r/n/r/n" to "" (without the quotes) for double spacing and "" (without the quotes) for single spacing.

This module does it job in that you are able to input your contact information easily and it looks pretty. However, if you want to use this module in side columns you have to manipulate the code to insert breaks. This may be hard for people not familiar with programming or not wanting the frustration.

Maybe the creator should include a "read me" file to show users how to stop this module from expanding their tables (how to insert a break). Most support modules do not expand tables. They took neatly in the sides of templates without stressing anyone out. Other than that, it is on point.

This module does exactly as it promises. It is very easy to install (no errors or manipulation needed). I wish more module descriptions were this honest (smile-joking), seamless and great!

Their product forum support is lacking. There are many unanswered questions from the beginning of April and middle March 2006.

In addition, the newest release installs without problems but will not allow directory settings to be saved. CHMOD from CPanel was verified all folders under their component directory were 777. I would try another gallery. I do not recommend.

This component is very slick and easy to use. It is very "self explanatory". Installation was a breeze. No behind the scenes modifications were needed to make it work. It is very useful as it allows you to modify files outside of the joomla install realm as well. I highly recommend it.
