BluEyez Image Rotator
This is a great mod - with a few modifications, July 11, 2007

BluEyez Image Rotator I had a Javascript dropdown menu (LXMenu) that was supposed to "hide" the flash slideshow when active. Unfortunately, it was as if the two were competing so I had to modify the mod_blueyezrotator.php file by removing all of the javascript and adding the wmode=opaque property to the embed tag. With this, and additional directories with path changes in the playlist.php, it's a pretty handy mod!

LxMenu - DHTML menu
Works great for me!, June 28, 2007
3 of 4 people find this review helpful:

Running Joomla 1.0.12, and Community Builder 1.0.2, I tried JSCook, JLo, and several other menu systems before trying this one and this is the best I have found - it works and I was able to modify the placement on the page. It is easily configurable via a component link, and you can also manually modify the css if you need to.

It took me a bit to figure out how to create submenus (I didnt RTFM because I had a hard time finding Joomla 1.0.12 docs), but once I got them in there - it worked flawlessly!

So if you are wondering how to make submenus, make sure you are not trying to create a new menu in the menu manager and/or adding it as a module (yeah yeah yeah). Instead, add your submenu items into the menu you want your dropdown submenu to appear in. So for example, in the Menu Manager, if you are in the MainMenu and want the submenu to appear from a link there, add a new item in there, then when you configure the new link, select the "Parent Item" - this is what creates the submenus then voila they magically appear in your Lxmenu.

Sorry if this is review for some, but I stumbled on other Joomla n00bs like me in the forums trying to figure out how to create submenus :)
